How many successful teams has he been in involved in?

The man is a complete and utter none entity.

He's been sussed out at United in less than 5 months.

He's one of these fellas that meanders through football with this big reputation without doing anything of note.

I mean success is relative. If you don’t term his tenure at Brighton successful relative to their stature, then I’m really not sure what to say to you.

Brighton were actually better after he left though, same with England, then he went to Newcastle and they spent loads but didn't sell and balance the books which has left them with PSR issues. @Exeter_Gently is correct if you go through his career, he seems to be a bit of a myth and Utd are clearly not happy with him about something and they appear to be the ones that are pushing him out.

The press put him on this pedestal while he was Development Director at The FA,like he was some sort of genius mind.

People should have been asking questions about him a long time ago.

I think I`m with @Exeter_Gently on this one, I agree successful at Brighton but things never worked out at Newcastle or Man Utd, why did he move on so quickly?

It`s like managers, look at the success Mike Walker had at Norwich, he was never able to repeat that anywhere else and in actual fact proved he wasn` t that good a manager at all.

Some times you get moments when all the conditions are right.

I think on the evidence, Brighton have continued to go about their business in the usual high standard and Newcastle and Man Utd have not improved, you`d argue quite the opposite.

Agree, he got his rep from overseeing the development of St Georges park and the youngsters they wanted too put through it which is fine, but transitioning from youth football into senior football doesn't always work and I think gradually he has been found out. Its very telling that Man Utd have kicked him so quickly after spending all that time chasing him.

Listen if the Branthwaite debacle was anything to go by this summer that alone shows how out of his depth he was.

Wasn't he at Newcastle and United poached him from them after a long drawn out battle for his services, or an i thinking of someone else ?

If we're not careful, we won't even be kniwn as the PLs biggest basket case!!!

Sir Jim doing the business
United are on a hiding to nothing while he's there.

Another visionless billionaire bully boy who's been found to be no better that the Glaziers.

Not to mention giving loads of staff the bullet while forcing them to sign NDAs.
