Be interesting to see if either Downing/Bell or both end up on the board in the context of any decision being made to sack Dyche. Surely they would be sounded out for their opinions and knowledge of the clubs history as fans. It would probably increase Moyes' chance of returning.

we don’t want anyone else’s opinions

no sentimental stuff

just
what TFG want

He galvanised Ipswich in season 1. Has just kept improving season on season from Spurs, United and until now.

He's just kept bringing in younger players and developing them while blending together an effective team from a low benchmark.

I think if we use a Moyes (when we got him) comparison, McKenna is levels above.

Logical. The negative with Potter is that as someone said before, hes a bit of a weirdo and doesnt seem to fancy pressure.
Big Ears has billions behind him...me and you would fly through the leagues with that clout behind us.

Its basically Football Manager.

Fundamentally the most important thing is whoever the manager is, they need to be aligned with the DoF in their footballing philosophy whoever that may be. If that means both DoF and manager go to create that aligned partnership so be it, but that is an absolute must.

A lot of that bad run relates to the first 4 games though doesn't it?

And we have played 6 of the top 11. I'm not sure the fixtures have been that easy.
Mine is when you put it into teams bournemouth leicester fulham southampton brentford is not that bad of a run and we have picked up 4 points from 15 just not good imo. Not saying in big trouble atm but if carries on and with his set of games coming up it can easily be. United and wolves is massive for me and he needs atleast 3/4 points for me
I reckon he'll go to Leicester.
Would be a risk imo with them even having psr troubles this season and lack of backing in the jan window

Take a look at the squads hes had then look at what he assembled in the summer while spending £100mil.

He may have wealthy owners behind him but theres caveats to spending and hes done things the right way. Looking at Greaves, Delap and Huchinson as his 3 main signings.

Young, high potential English players into the spine.

It's smart and long term.

I think Thelwell wants to focus on the academy and target young players from what hes done so far.

Working with a manager with a coaching ethos and background to match would be ideal.

DOF has to be the most important football person at the club.

I mean for the record Dyche was relegated once. In like 9 seasons. He's a very track record.

And we should always avoid complacency, but 1 defeat in 8 games, a very good defensive record with players returning puts us in a good position.
Twice he’s definitely to blame for the 2nd time as he won 4 games in 30, that could be us soon with 2 wins in 12 from a very easy start, no matter what you say. And this 1 defeat in 8 talk is utterly embarrassing. Last 4, Fulham and a 10 men Brentford at home and Southampton and West Ham away, 3 points and only one goal in the 95th minute.
