2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I think Everton Football Club should probably stop appointing Liverpool fans in key roles at the club tbh. Dyche doesn’t give a toss about Everton and doesn’t treat the club with the respect it deserves and being a Kopite definitely plays a part in that.
Let’s also extend that to the office, admin, and clerical staff as well as tea lady Doris. If your RS, you’re out!!!

We had 27 shots yesterday, but only 5 on target with 1.15 xG, shows our problem we had often last season as well, we get a good amount of shots but not that many clear cut chances, don't think they were

The only big chance was probably the one of Mykolenko.

Think we started the game pretty alright for the first 10 min, where I thought the team wanted to win. I think Dyche ran out of ideas a while a go, he did the best he could, but it's not enough anymore.

Defense works again lately, but offense now with 3 games in a row without a goal against bottom half teams.

Sorry for the rant.

This is a fair point of view because at the end of the day we want Everton to do well. We're not doing well. We're just not getting the results. A draw is a point and it's not a loss. So we're getting the bare minimum. It seems to be acceptable for Dyche to keep his job. It's not acceptable for me I've already made up my mind on Dyche. But it's acceptable for the people/supporters who seem to be of the opinion just staying up until we get to Bramley Moore is what life is all about this season.

It's really dumb. It's scandalous. I don't know who is perpetuating this 'ideal'. But let's get one thing straight, we are NOT some yo-yo club that are happy to stay in the division we are not some lower league club content with survival. People out there are putting out this point of view it's even come from the football club themselves.

Let's be clear, Everton Football Club should be challenging for titles and if we're not we should be challenging Europe and trying to win trophies. This idea that that getting to BM is the end game is nonsensical. It means absolutely nothing. In the long term it might be a game changer for us but in the short term this is dissmissing this season as a waste, and it's highly irresponsible from people at this club if this is what they are suggesting (IE if this is what Sean Dyche's requirements are for the season from Thelwell).

I won't accept it. I hope most right minded Everton fans don't accept it either. The football club has put this spell on people and it comes from the Kenwright days, that we, Everton Football Club, do not challenge for titles and win trophies, that we are somehow there to just exist and make up the numbers.

When I say the Kenwright days, I mean the latter days. Kenwright in the earlier days with Moyes really did push us. But in his later days (without knowing the man personally) he clearly had a different mindset. It was just about clinging on to his position. Fast forward and we are a sad club with its guts strewn all over the place. As a result of the poor way the club has been run in recent years. Waiting. Waiting for TFG and waiting for BM. But in the meantime just going through the motions. Waiting. It's a slow death right now.
Be the same excuse next season “ it’s our first season in the new stadium let’s just get this out the way “

They've just convinced Ranieri to come out of retirement to manage Roma tbf.
Well they have sacked every bugger else  but there's a hell of a difference between 73 year old Ranieri coming in for a bit and top up the pension versus Moyes being at the point his career where his stock has never been higher.

Moyes wont be short of offers when the Dec/Jan sackings start, and I don't see him waiting around forever to see if he's really the one wanted to be in the EFC hot seat (he's been down that road once or twice before).

Moyes stock never been higher ? Don’t know about that like West Ham couldn’t wait to get rid of him

Yeah I think it's fair to say Moyes' stock is probably at it's peak, generally speaking.

He's no longer the guy who took champions United to their lowest ever finish, or who relegated Sunderland, or who flopped in Spain etc, he's the guy who just delivered West Ham's first trophy in years/first ever European trophy maybe, and had them competing in the top 6/7 places for a few years.

West Ham chose not to retain him (a decision they might now be regretting!), but if the bottom-dozen clubs in the league were looking for a manager I suspect Moyes' name would be quite high up the list for most of those teams.
