2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I could only watch the first half yesterday so missed us against 10 men and haven't seen anything about the game but I'm guessing we had no idea how to make a man advantage work and when we still couldn't do anything with about 20 to go he chucked on Beto and we played 2 up top despite that not working ever but as is the way with this prehistoric stubborn fraud of a manager who thinks the game hasn't moved on from the 80s. His comments about Ndiaye perfectly sums him up, he is out of his depth and needs to leave.

Everton have always been rubbish breaking down teams with 10 men. Under Moist, we barely had a shot on goal playing against Spuds 9 men for half an hour. Even arguably our best ever team couldn't beat Manures 10 men, although to be fair, they'd all been on the lash after Rotterdam.

It’s a very simple script for the pro-Dyche mob to follow:

When we win or get a good result: “full credit to Dyche for how he has set us up…”

When we lose or get a bad result: “you can’t blame the manager for our players not taking their chances…”

They have manoeuvred themselves into a position where Dyche can’t be criticised in their eyes.
Guess I would be in the pro Dyche arena. But I’m not saying he is bullet proof.
We just have an order that needs doing. First new owners, then a new manager.
I reckon we will avoid relegation with Dyche, I appreciate it’s not pretty, and I’m not sure we would get the next manager right if he is sacked now. More likely to get relegated.

How can we expect the players to be motivated to perform if their manager is coming out and telling the media how crap they are every single week? He has no man management skills whatsoever. More of a self preservationist than Benitez.
His comment about other clubs solving the scoring with a cheque book when his teams have never scored a lot is so delusional/disingenuous. Pure insult to the team

Brentford went narrow and compact and Dyche still didn't get the FBs to overlap and add width to stretch them.
He's infuriating. Deep crosses Brentford were batting away and speculative shots.

He’s just repeatedly saying that he can’t do anything with these players. Ok fine, sack him and bring in a manager that can.
“These problems aren’t new to Everton, it’s been going on since before my time” - Standard excuse he trots out.

At point does he begin to start taking responsibility considering he’s been here a couple of years?

i'd love to be a reporter and say just on that point Sean. Wasnt your whole managerial career of 10 years at Burnley more games managed than goals? On a level of 1 to 10 how sh!t is that.

He’s been here longer than Benitez and Lampard combined. He’s talking as if he’s only just inherited their mess, pure gaslighting.

I think Everton Football Club should probably stop appointing Liverpool fans in key roles at the club tbh. Dyche doesn’t give a toss about Everton and doesn’t treat the club with the respect it deserves and being a Kopite definitely plays a part in that.

Just dialing it in with what he's done before
Zero evolution or adaptation to a changing game

Genuine interested to hear why the only important thing this season is to get to BMD safe for next season? What’s at BMD, a new squad?

We seem to have dispensed with the notion for this season, that coaching, development, performance and as many points as possible are needed.

Just the bare minimum this season seems to be the answer for some posters so there must be something magic at BMD that means next year we can reassert some standards again.
