I get bemoaning the lack of quality in the squad but what’s changed from last year? We weren’t great but at least we had five more points on the table having played the same amount of games (then we were docked the 10 points) so even largely with the same players, I’m scratching my head as to how we can be so much worse. (Yes I’ve heard about the small margins argument but that applies to every team)

Disagree, goal scoring has been an issue over the last three years over three managers, subsequently we lost 100s of millions in value of attacking footballers fro Carlo forward and never really replaced them.

Our defence is fine, our midfield is competitive our forwards are lower tier and ineffective, I feel sorry for our defenders and midfielders.
I feel sorry for all our players.

They're set up to fail every game because that manager hasn't got a clue how to coach actual footballers. As soon as we get past the halfway line you can see how little work we do in that area.

Thomas Frank has these comfortably mid table, potentially top half.

All the greatest hits.

'There's been frustration at this club for many years'
FT: Everton 0-0 Brentford

Everton boss Sean Dyche speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We were better against 11, it was a really strong first-half performance. Second half against 10, it's hard to play against a low block. We huffed and puffed. They blocked well and defended well for their first clean sheet. It's a clean sheet and another point. It's a juggling act.

On red card: "It's too far away, I haven't seen it back but I can only go on what the VAR has decided.

"This is a long-standing thing at the football club trying to create those chances. They were maybes. it's finding those killer moments. There's no lack of intent or purpose from the players.

"We had to change what was going on at the start of the season because we were conceding far too many goals. Now we have to change it at the other end. It's hard against a low block. Credit to them because it's their first clean sheet.

"There's been frustration at this club for many years. We're trying to stop it going in one end and putting it in the other. The reality at the moment is can you beat 10 men? The main thing is to not lose it.

The main thing is not to lose against 10

Is that a real quote ?

Surely not

Moving Ndiaye to the 10 for 30 minutes shows he’s lost it. The best chances were created with McNeil in the middle. He’s lost his conviction and it’s time to go.

It’s been the same over the last three years under the last three managers.

That’s Franks first away point of the season and he’s blessed to get it, if we had a PL attacker worthy of the name he wouldn’t be going home with anything.

This team is still so unbalanced.
