It would be an entirely new board though? Saying we couldn't move on when Kenwright here was one thing, because there was a feeling that he really wanted Moyes back and so would look to him at every opportunity. Even if the Friedkins did want to appoint Moyes (which I doubt) it surely wouldn't be because they hadn't moved on, because they were never here to move on from?
Moyes splits the fanbase, one quick look round social media will see that. It wouldn't be the best start from TFG imo. I want a motivator and a tactician, someone who can adapt. That's not Moyes. Also TFG tend to take a back seat so will have a Dof/Sporting Director who Moyes doesn't want too work with. As for moving on, I mean our fans, too many want old names on a continual basis all the time and just want to build an EFC museum imo.

The fanbase will always be split mate, familiarity breeds contempt at this club, more so in recent years, we had lids on here complaining about Ancelotti the longer he was here and he wasn't here that long.

Club needs to make hard calls and commit - it cant be governed on fan sentiment at any one time, its flawed.

I just genuinely don't see what he offers us and not one single person has made a decent case for him either, he is yesterdays news imo.

Think the way most fans would accept moyes if it was simikar to ranieri till the end of the season. I will be watching out for what TFG first say when the come im about dyche thelwell ect will show alot then will still have dcl if they want to keep him

I do agree with you on moyes would not be the direction i would want us to go in, would just see him as a short term solution. Think be similar to dyche but would atleast try and push up the fb and put more crosses into the box.

I don’t disagree with your thinking, it was just that your original post seemed to be suggesting it was something you expected from the club which seemed odd.

I don’t think many people would want moyes out of all the managers in the world, he’s just a crutch that people will think of when times are tough.

I think a lot of people would prefer a manager from a foreign 2nd division than Moyes as long as he’s not English.

It will all come down to who’s interested at the end of the season, the last 3/4 years have shown our fans are not very realistic at all.

Its not an English thing, its a 'PL Experience' thing for me. In recent years some of the best managers/coaches in the league are guys who came in with no prior experience of managing in this league. We always went for managers who had that 'PL experience' under their belt in the past and its never really achieved anything. Id like to a different approach with new ideas, it depends on what direction TFG will want to take.
