Unless he's off to Saudi he almost certainly will not get the EFC contract money elsewhere. Plus he's not
very good and not a top-half of the League centre-forward. A number two certainly.

I hope EFC withdraw the offer at Xmas and see if he comes back begging.
If he waits till the end of the season he'll get a big signing on fee and a decent wage somewhere else as a free agent.

Id love to know where this 'big fee' and 'decent wage' is coming from, there doesn't seem to be anything more than passing interest in him from certain clubs. He isn't going to be anymore than a bench option to change games/last throw of the dice option at a big club as most play target man style football. I'm genuinely interested to see what the future holds for him.

….with no transfer involved, he’ll get a big signing fee and salary, I have no doubt about that. Be interesting what his demands are but I’m sure there’ll be plenty of clubs happy to sign him for circa £5m.

This baffles me....we’ve put loads of crosses into the box but he simply isn’t a natural predator. He NEVER makes a move to the front post and his one-on-one finishing is dire for a so-called elite forward.
Time to get rid and move on.
The only time he had that predatory instinct was with Carlo and Big Dunc

The bar codes would have given £15-20?mill for him if his wage demands had been less, rumour has it. That being the case, they could deffo give him a few mill to sign and the wage he wants and still be better off than they'd have been had he signed for him this summer.

That tweet on the other page said the Newcastle move was never that close though. It might have been a wage thing as surprisingly Newcastle do have a fairly rigid wage structure in place. It will be interesting to see if they come back in for him.
