He came on as a sub against England in Dublin last month but wasn’t included in the game against Greece 3 days later.

He didn’t do anything once on against England that warranted his being overlooked for the next game so anyone’s guess what the issue was/is with his not being included in the latest squad. I would point out the new Ireland manager is an Icelandic dentist and leave it there.

His record in France last year was top class. Plus he scored for us twice in pre season.
