Difficult to answer as I don't know what you like but I love Tokyo. It's loud and chaotic with serenity around every corner. A truly contrasting assault on the senses.
Personally, I'd recommend at least going to shibuya, Tokyo sky tree, imperial palace, sensoji temple and Shinjuku at night.

I was thinking to go to Canada this summer for holiday. Flights were reasonably priced but the price of the hotels in the likes of Toronto, Montreal or Quebec were horrendous. Thought it would be cheaper there for some reason but I was wrong
