If it takes a home games and some home cooking, more power to them. We've had 14 years of cuts, pain and suffering here, country is on it's knees. Anyone that's made it to Paris is a hero (on gb's behalf) so let us rejoice in such a show of medals and the sheer number of 4th places.

I've really enjoyed these games, particularly the athletics. It's convenient to watch after a days work. Won't be the case at Los Angeles. Also glad it's over though. Two weeks of perfect bodies on display isn't good for my inferiority complex.

What an incredible talent is Sifan Hassan, a range from 1500 m to marathon , just outstanding , there looked like only one winner when she was still there at 800 m out . Three medals at different distances, the outstanding performer of these games

Lottery cash has grown in size in that time. The athletes have been in a boom industry so that makes zero sense as an argument.

GB athletes are financially doped in comparison with other nations apart from the US where the college system has a lot of money thrown at it.

The only thing that's going to give this olympics any credibility for me is if Jean Michel Jarre does a set in the closing ceremony tonight. It's just a global dik swinging competition for USA and China.

Need to get good at those garbage sports no one watches with about 10 weight classes like judo, weightlifting and wrestling. There's about 50 untapped gold medals there.
