Should have been Newcastle paying us money to get DCL in the deal. It's our player who has proven themselves at this level.
40m only made sense as an inflated fee, with a similar one coming back, on its own it’s WAY too much for one good season in Holland.
Hypothetically if we could get Ndiaye and Gnonto for roughly that 40 it’s better business for the squad.
But the key now is what happens with DCL. Will someone else pay up and, crucially, do we NEED the sale?
