Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi folks. We have just accepted an offer on my Dad's house. A couple of doctors (one's a psychiatrist) with a 2 yr old son. They have an apartment in town which they are going to re-mortgage and rent out. So, no chain. I'm so happy that the house will once again be a family home because it is a lovely house in a nice place.
Not much else to report - a weekend of overtime beckons. Have a good one whatever you are doing.

Good morning all on this dismal day here in Finland although I have just seen an elk 20 metres from the house ,well it is their land after all .I hope all had a good especially Mrs @blueloon and have a fine day today .Nice to relax a little until Monday but I will have one eye on the results around us .Have a great day all COYB
They are starting on the pitch area of BMD :D :D :D

I would hope to avoid the other scores but I don’t think I will be able to in reality. However, maybe today is the day to watch Oppenheimer and hopefully forget about it all.

I have their Stand Up LP. I just googled it and it was released in 1969 apparently, where did the time go?šŸ™€
Like all self respecting prog rock fans, I owned the Thick as a brick album. Watching the concert last night I never realised just how good a flautist he is.

Its amazing how so many of these old rockers are still performing. Given their lifestyle back then I'm surprised they lived past their twenties šŸ˜€

Morning all . I’m making a tentative return to GOT after a four week absence. Mrs bl developed severe pain in her side four weeks ago and we ended up going via NHS 111, on call GP , hospital A&E , admittance to A&E Ward on a trolley in the corridor at 1.30 am in the morning. She had a severe kidney infection/ sepsis which they struggled to get on top of . Really she saw the best of the NHS, good doctors and nurses, and the worst , no beds, lost notes setting her treatment back, scans that failed to happen, repeated inability to get bloods/ cannula into her arms leaving her literally black and blue , undertrained/ overworked staff . Appalling really how underfunded the NHS is , this is not a thread for political comment so I’ll confine it to ā€œ Paul Mullin’s bootsā€ . Thankfully they eventually reduced her infection markers sufficiently via IV antibiotics to allow her home , and she’s making slow progress now.

Life was really hectic for a few weeks, twice a day hospital visits, keeping family and friends updated etc , so I had no time to post on GOT. And to be honest I didn’t miss it and wondered if I’d return again. When I did pop in it struck me how negative most of the threads are. I sponsor the Chermiti thread , a 19 year old moving to another country, trying to progress but all I saw when I looked in was the same people repeating the same negative comments. I didn’t need that level of negativity in my life so avoided GOT, but kept up with what was going on Everton wise. My own BP has been sky high the past few weeks, lack of sleep etc hasn’t helped , so it may be a tentative return .
Terribly sorry to hear this BL. Very best wishes to Mrs BL for a full recovery

There was a series that was better about the same subject . It was called Operation Buffalo . Yes you are correct I won't be able to stop looking at the results .

Yes in the 60's they said we would all die young if we took drugs and they were not the hard stuff just tablets .Now they recognize that hash can be of help to some .The fear factor .
