£15 billion borrowed to pay bond and shareholders, mainly Canadian pension pots and scattering of UK university staff pensions.

Looking like those pension pots are going to get a lot smaller then. Perhaps they'll look into investing in better run organisations and not badly run short termist outfits.

The headline on that seem to have been changed to a slightly less insulting:

Working less won’t help young people get on the housing ladder

Too many seem to believe they are so special that they can rely on the magnanimity of the state and their employers to come to the rescue

But the guy is clearly ridiculous, the most-recent article before that one was saying how great Toby Young of all people was, and veers a little into the same basic trans issue-baiting the Tories like to deploy in the Commons (can't say what a woman is).

Just having a look down his Wiki page, there's this gem:

Harris is a fan of Doctor Who and friend of its former showrunner, Steven Moffat. Harris contributed to Behind The Sofa, the collection of celebrity Doctor Who fan memories published by Gollancz in 2013. He firmly opposed a female actor playing the Doctor.

In his Toby Young article he said Labour should be defending women's safe spaces, I guess he doesn't think the Tardis should be one of them!

Price of petrol shooting up again. My local Tesco garage has gone up 4p in a week. Utter crooks.

I was driving up the M6 on Monday, and the service station had diesel for £1.92 per litre. I know you may more in such locations, but it ain't far off £2 a litre!

We urgently need a genuine, society-led mass movement to cut petrol and diesel consumption.

Reducing it by 5-10% across the whole country - which is eminently achievable given that polling shows many journeys are for distances that most people could walk or cycle easily - would put real pressure on domestic wholesalers. If the movement spread to the rest of Europe (or better still worldwide) then we'd see increasing pressure on the oil price as well.

It would also help the environment and people's health too, as well as make those journeys that people have to make less bothersome.
