6 + 2 Point Deductions

Either way we'd still be being charged for essentially the same offense in a shockingly poor system, where a team will struggle for potentially 3 years to become sustainable, in a system to help clubs stay sustainable..
It has no business being called that, especially after what they've tried to do to Everton.

Yes. The appeal could amend our PSR figure for 21/22 and that could pull down our figure for the three years to 22/23.

For example: if they accept a 10m reduction for 21/22 to compensate for the Player X situation that would pull down our overspend for the first charge to 9.5m. So we’d still be guilty but the sanction would likely reduce. BUT that 10m reduction also pulls through to the period of the second charge which if we are currently less than 10m over would then make the charge go away.
All a bit of a mess, isn’t it?

Sports lawyer on Talksport, if Everton win the entire thing will be thrown out and the points would be returned
In a sense that’s right because only a total not guilty would properly constitute an objective “win”.

That doesn’t mean win / lose are the only outcomes though. They can still rule we have broken the rules but change the original, disproportionate sanction.
