6 + 2 Point Deductions

They will just sell Gallagher and a couple of others and come in under the limit .

Say what you want about them but their new owners seems to be very savvy regarding the rules … hence the 7 year contracts
Eight year contracts are only savvy until you realise you have a few absolute dross players on your books on big wages for almost a decade. That Jackson who doesn’t seem up to standard is set for life no matter how many chances he misses for example.

I dont see anyone paying close to 50m for Broja. That's more than double his value
I can see why we were interested in him, good attributes, but he’s raw and might not make the final step to being premier league quality so it’s got to be a 20 mil punt at best. They reckon it’s teams like Fulham in for him - they’re not paying 50m on anyone let alone unproven

As I have said on a number of occasions the statutory accounts give a hint of an impending PS numbers but unless you actually see the club’s submission then you can’t get close to the numbers.

Whilst I have great respect for the Swiss Rambler often his projections are way off.

I have had exchanges with him and whilst he uses a clubs accounts core information such as transfer fees in his projections come from the likes of transfer market which are far too often way off the mark.

For instance in Chelseas 21/22 accounts it is stated post the end of the accounting and up to the date the accounts were submitted , around March 23 the club signed 16 players ( which is in accord with transfer market ) and that along with signing new members of the coaching team came to £368.6 million. Transfer market put the cost of the players alone at £525 M which as I say is the number the Rambler used.

Of course there will almost certainly be add ons but again in those accounts the post reporting note tells us the club disposed of 16 players at loss of £4million. In that number were several players like Drinkwater, Rudiger and Werner who ( using flawed tranfermarkets number ) cost over £100 million and were probably alone accountable for 15% of the £160 million amortisation charge.

Bohey is accountable to a consortium and they will be all over the pit falls of FFP . No one has made much comment re amortisation save one of that number when making a speech to an economic forum a few months ago where he said some £57 million had been reduced from the wage bill and the charge to amortisation.

I would assume a second offense would be harsher than the first.
only if it was thus written in to the rules, as they hadn't written the rules for sanctions for a first offence, I doubt that a second offence penalty schedule exists. Due to the double counting/double jeopardy of the rolling three year period, there is a strong argument for a lesser sentence. They really haven't thought this through.

Every city fan ive heard or read are falling over themselves to praise him.
go figure.
They think because of his background he is 100% on top of the PLs case, their evidence and he keeps banging on about the fact that such high powered individuals would have to have been involved what they are charged with couldn’t happen.

I was involved in finances be it more from an enforcement angle and believe me rich people get up to all sorts of things and so so often the number of people involved was often quite staggering and it’s more often than not that the little man is the one left hung out to dry
