ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Jordan Henderson has actually been good for the majority of this season though, I'm 90% sure you're laughing because we paid *£20 Million for him. He's a good player at keeping the ball and passing it, he just needs to be a bit more confident going forward. He's certainly not a right winger. If his name was Jordanio Dos Hendersonés and we bought him from Malaga after a good season, nobody would be arsed.

* £16 Million

then you would'nt need standard chartered or fenway sports cos you would make a fortune from the lettering on his shirt.

No, honestly, he's ****e mate. I'm not just being anti-Liverpool - Henderson is the definition of mediocre. I thought it at Sunderland. I literally couldn't believe it when you bought him. It's like Liverpool want to be mid-table and are spending money to achieve that aim.

You only have... I'd say three really good players. They are Luis Suarez, who despite being detestable is genuine world class. Then there's Steven Gerrard, who whilst not as good as years gone by is still a superb player. Then there's Pepe Reina, who I think is overrated - certainly not world class - but very good nonetheless.

Oh, and Bellamy is decent too.

Then you have a massive parade of slightly above average players like Adam, Enrique, Downing, Agger... then you have average at best, in Henderson, Skrtel, Lucas...

And then you have the dogturd group, consisting of Maxi Rodriguez, Carroll, Kelly, Spearing... pretty much the rest of the squad.

Which is the reason you are not and never were in the hunt for the title. You have far too many players who cost a pretty penny who are simply not good enough. In fact, as odd as this sounds given the money spent and league positions over the years, there's only a select few who'd get in our first team. The problem at Everton is that we have nothing beyond the first team!

I'd have Suarez and Bellamy (if they weren't complete bellends), Reina ahead of Howard and Gerrard in the Everton side. I'd have Jagielka and Distin and even Heitinga ahead of any of your centre-half. Baines literally pisses on Johnson. Fellaini ahead of Lucas every day of the week. We have absolutely no decent wingers on permanent contracts, but neither do you! I'd have Downing simply because it'd prevent Rodwell playing left wing but for little other reason!!!

The sad fact is, both Merseyside clubs are nowhere near a title challenge. The difference is, you've spent MASSIVE amount of money over the last two seasons, only to finish four points above us last year and you're only six off us this year after us having what is widely considered an absolutely dreadful first half of the season.

And players like Jordan Henderson won't make that gap wider any time soon.

Some of this is right, but there's a lot of things you've got badly wrong for me. Firstly, I wouldn't say Downing would get in your side. He is a frustratingly awful player. And you've called Enrique just above average when he's widely regarded as one of the best left backs in the league by neutrals. Kelly isn't dogturd, far from it, he's a very good player for his young age and is much better than Johnson.

You've also got it wrong with centre-halves. Why would you want Everton ones when Skrtel and Agger have been the second best partnership in the league this season behind Man City's two this year?

I just don't rate either of them mate. Liverpool have the "Liverpool factor" which timid teams are in awe of which carries you through games against lesser sides. I think Agger is decent. He's a better centre-half than Heitinga, certainly. But Skrtel... I don't see it.

Whereas Everton have only conceded four more goals than you and unless you watched us week in week out you'd struggle to believe how bad our attack has been. Decent sides could attack us at will earlier in the season without fear of reprisal. Therefore, the stats are misleading - Jagielka is a sensational centre-half. I really like Distin, and whilst he edged out Agger for me right now, I'd have Agger ahead of him long term.

It's all relative though. With Liverpool, you're talking about the ambition to be a top four side. Enrique is a solid player, but he stands out as there's a crazy lack of good left-backs in this league. Baines, Cole and Evra, that's about it. Enrique is an Aston Villa calibre left-back.

Kelly is poor mate. It's his positional sense; he has none. He fools people by bombing forward occasionally but his defensive side is sorely lacking, and under normal circumstances he'd be on loan developing experience. He MIGHT come good, in the same way Seamus Coleman might, but he isn't there yet. As such, I rate him as ****e, because he's not a top four player.

I only said Downing would get in our side because Drenthe and Donovan, and even Pienaar, are not fixed term Everton players. If they were, he'd get ahead of none of them.

Liverpool spent just £5m less on Carroll, Coates, Henderson and Downing than City did on Aguero, Silva and Toure.

Also, Steward Downing cost more than Mario Balotelli.

How do you feel about this Antonio?

I don't buy in to all that to be honest because I think Liverpool would struggle to appeal to the likes of Aguero and Silva, and you've got to factor in that Carroll, Coates and Henderson are probably on £200k a week between them whereas Silva and Aguero must be on that each.

As others have said, I would take only Gerrard, possibly the clown in goal and Suarez if he wasnt a horrible little rat, but he is, I would cry if we had such vermin in our side and I honestly wouldnt go the games.

But this Antonio bellwhiff doesnt go anyway, so it aint no thing for him.

That Enrique is beyond terrible, Hibbert is streets ahead and Baines is so far ahead its scary.

The Adams Family at the back is a complete joke and I dont even need to comment on Hendersen and Adam, I simply dont need to say it.

No Bias, I would take Bellamy, but hes a horrid little cnut also.

Arguably the most deluded thing on this 198 page thread based largely around delusion, well done.
