6 + 2 Point Deductions

More than anything it's been giving excessive wages to average players who when it doesn't work out (like Godfrey) we can't sell them because no other club is going to pay them those wages, and tbf that player is under a contract so why should they leave. For me no player at EFC should be on £100k or more per week and we still have about 7 (we have had more) Also even when we had the USM sponsorship we were still pushing far too high in terms of wages, it gave us a revenue of about £220-230m per season and we need to be closer to about £250m.
I agree with this but there is also another angle. Because the wages were so high, it is quite probable that the players who have left, we are continuing to contribute towards their wages even now.

Having journalists always coming out to back the league and back FFP is exactly what the league and the big 6 want.

Look at Leicester.

Won the league, fa cup, champions league football. Owner lost money in his other businesses, fell close to FFP rules and couldn't do anything until it relegated them.

What's everyone else going to do?
