Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi guys. I've been in the pub all afternoon. Discovered that gin was doubles for the price of singles so I've discovered the joys of rhubarb and ginger gin - after asking the barman which gin tasted least like gin. Anyway look who is in the pub where we are

So have I got this straight, You hate gin, but because it was half price you spent the afternoon getting smashed on it? Oh Anj.😀

By the way. Who is he?

Good morning all on this chilly day here in Hyvinkää -15° with wind factor -23° and getting colder .It is getting near the limit for us to go walking ,somewhere around -20° is when we stop but that is wind dependant .
I hope all had a great night and have a great day ,a shame about yesterday ,I thought a few stunk to be honest .I can see a big sale coming up so he can sort out a striker and a new body in midfield .We have really missed Dukes , the forwards are not getting any service ,if they di they fluff it .Personally I would love someone like Callum Wilson or what they thought they would get with Maupay .Have a gereat day all COYB

Morning! I remember driving up to Preston to go to work one morning when we had the last really bad winter here, and I got in my car and it said it was -13 ! I can’t imagine what it must feel like to be as cold as you experience it up there (apart from at least 2 degrees colder than that morning 😂) but it looks so beautiful.

Morning all, I hope you are well and preparing to bring in the new year. A quiet one for us this year. Going to cook dinner and settle down in front of the tv and that will be it. I always feel a bit strange at new year reflecting on the year gone and wondering what the next one is going to be like. I have had a good 2023 and for that I am grateful with the biggest highlight being our son’s wedding. Have a good New Year’s Eve- when I was a little girl my dad used to say to me - I’ve just been out and seen a man with as many noses as there are days left in the year - it shocked me every time but in my defence I was very little.

Good morning all. I'm feeling surprisingly healthy considering yesterday's alcohol consumption. Maybe rhubarb gin is the future. 🤣 Much like @Val P, ours will be a quiet one. 2023 has been dominated by us losing our Dad but my son’s engagement has balanced the scales - a wedding to look forward to next year. My brother has just found out he's going to have his second grandchild next April - another little girl - so he has something to celebrate too.
I may have to go shopping later. We are running out of bread, milk and a few other fresh items. I'm going to do a dinner tomorrow so tonight will be a takeaway.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, bright for the last day of the year. I have always found New Year slightly depressing, with the turning of the year those I have lost seem even further away. In the past I always stayed up as my Mum came round first footing, something she did right into her late eighties, ringing the doorbell on the stroke of midnight, stay for the fireworks on TV then she and my brother would stroll home, she had far more stamina than me. lol This year I’ll be tucked up in bed, no chance of sleep as, if previous years are anything to go by, there will be some industrial strength fireworks round our way. However you are celebrating, I hope you all have a great time and wish you Peace and Happiness for 2024.
Have a good day, all.💙
