Spurs away and then the best team in the world Man City!!??!!

Perspective please. Should have taken at least a point at WHL and competed strongly tonight and at 80 mins a smash and grab was a potential.

We are showing the very same fight as we did with the 4 wins, just lack of quality.

The rest of them still have Spurs and City remember.
But we didn't take any points and thsts the ole expected loss mantra, judge a team by its name

The penalty was at the very best BENT !!!, his arm was not unnatural... He was falling to the floor, his hand did not move to the ball and it was fired at him from a kin yard away FFS!!!. Over the past few months countless penalties have been waived away when the ball has been smashed at the opposition player. VAR is for a clear and obvious error by the officials and awarding that WAS a clear and obvious error !!!

The thing that City have done on the defensive side better than anyone for quite some time is they narrow the space. They make it very difficult for you to exit your own half. If you can get past that first layer and force them to defend, you can cause them problems. Unfortunately you have to take your chances when you get there and if you don’t, you leave them the opportunity to smother you in your own half. I’m glad we scored first and made it interesting. Always going to be tough against them regardless of the form they are in.

There are also different types of losses. We've been beaten by the best team in the world after being right in the game right until the last 5 mins, and mostly dominated a top 4 contender away from home and were absurdly unlucky not to get something.

If we get 1 point from our next 3 I can accept there may be something deeper. But no reasonable person can seriously tell me after the last couple of games they're suddenly panicking.
A loss is a loss though points wise.

Never any shame in that, especially when the lesser team puts in a real shift. Everton did.

Most worrying thing for me is Calvert-Lewin being completely incapable of finishing his chances.
That’s a growing concern.. Beto had a chance tonight and to be fair did ok. But he’s a different less athletic type of player. Could we try Dobbin instead of DCL?

DCL has has 4-5 gilt edged chances (Mostly headers) in recent games and all fluffed

Such a joke calling them "World champions" for winning the most minor piece of silverware there ever was. Ugh.

At least this feeling when losing tonight beats whatever we've been going through last season though. Much rather be angry about football than darkly apathetic, haha
