Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning All!

I'm on day 7 of a cold, so no long walks yet. lol The weather here is nice maybe a little cool, but I'm trying to get over whatever I have.

I thought we were playing today until I checked the schedule yesterday. I don't mind putting off a match up with ManC, even it is just one day. Since all the excitement happened yesterday, I might catch up on holiday movies today. I took the day off from work so it's ok lol
Get well soon.💙

@PhilM

As a fellow celebrant, did your Mass end with a message of Gaza and Ukraine? I went early and it was a hard ending to pray for Ukraine, Gaza and the homeless

Family who went to the later Mass said the same. Just curious if this was the same in Liverpool?
Yes, it ended with Gaza and Ukraine, although I would say that they have been common messages during recent masses - prayers, the sermon etc.

I wouldn't have said it was a 'hard' ending though, but more rather an acknowledgement in what was overall a light and warm service.

I went to one Mass with the eldest and his Mum took the youngster. At dinner they both mentioned the change in tone at the end. It was actually nice to have the conversation to be honest in these corporate times.

Morning everyone,

Awful weather today. Wet and very windy. Does that help us tonight against City ? Don't know but I think we will need every advantage. Wrap up warm @Val P .

I will do a big shop for mum for whilst we are away and get back to the gym , I feel so bloated and overweight ( although having weighed myself, I'm not ).

I'm hoping that 3 good sessions in the gym and 3 days healthy eating and abstinence of alcohol will set me up for 2 weeks of excess !

Well whatever you do have a lovely day everyone , with fingers and toes crossed for tonight.

Good morning all on this snowy day here in Finland .I hope all are well and had a good night .Yes @jazzy I too am feeling a bit overweight and will be apprehensive when I get on the scales tomorrow . I would be happy with a point tonight for sure ,let us hope they ( City ) had a load of food over the holiday .I was surprised to read Haaland earns so much £860,000 per week -that is a vulgar amount for anyone to earn in these times . I watched some of the early "Royle family " and have now decided to stop moaning -well a bit anyway .
Have a great day all COYB

Morning everyone, it’s a bit wild out there. As you say @jazzy i will definitely need my big coat tonight. It gets very snug in the Upper Gwladys when everyone has their winter coats on, you can barely move in your seat. Had a lovely walk yesterday along the front in Liverpool, standing by the river looking at the Liver building is as good a view as anywhere in the world.
Just have to nip to the post office to return a pair of trousers which it was a bit optimistic to order tbh. Reminds me of when my son came shopping with me when he was a teenager and I always valued his opinion - I picked up a pair of trousers and said to him- do you think these are age appropriate for me? His reply was - it depends on what age you want to be 😂😂. God love him.
Have a great day everyone and here’s hoping for a Christmas miracle tonight 💙

Morning all, weather is awful, very wet and the wind is picking up. As always, Christmas brings back memories of my childhood, getting old I suppose, well there’s no suppose about it! Anyway, the ”big“ present, the one I asked Father Christmas for, over the years included a scooter, roller skates and one year a bride doll. I had long admired one in the toy shop in town, I knew she could never be mine, she was very expensive but I would have been happy with any “bride” doll. It must have near bankrupted my parents but, as you may have guessed, Father Christmas came up trumps and there she was, Cindy, the doll of my dreams. This year the present most coveted by grandkids 3 & 4 was an Air Up water bottle. For those who don’t know, it’s a bottle with scented pods which makes plain water “taste”. I have never seen two girls be so thrilled with what is, in fact, a bottle of tap water or drink so much of the stuff! I still have my Cindy doll, I bet they don’t have those bottles in 60+ years , I’ll give them six months.lol
Have a good day, all.💙
