Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning everyone,

Up with the larks as it's a beautiful day. Cold but sunny and no wind.

So I think a good Boxing Day walk along the canal beckons . Don't know if it's before or after the bubble and squeak at lunchtime.

Great shame we've no game today, always love a Boxing Day game

Which reminds me of the strangest Boxing Day ever. About 40 years ago - hadn't been up here long - I am just about to.go out to watch us play Man U when I get a phone call from the police telling me they have my client in custody. My reply was "oh just let him sober up and I'll see him later " ( so I could get to the game!).

"But we've arrested him for a double murder ".

Needless to say I didn't get to the game.

Have a lovely day everyone.

My top 3 is easily 'Fairytale of New York' thrice lol

I'm usually a bit more Grinchy but feel good this year - first year since I've been together with my fiancée (almost 5) that we're both home for Xmas as she got time off this year and I no longer work regardless of what day it is:celebrate:, so we swerved going to the regular family gatherings (even more so as 2 families means travelling AND someone always being mad we didn't visit them anyway lol ) and stayed home and made a bunch of food. Yesterday was traditional Xmas food for our region and today I've tried (and succeeded I might add!) preparing and making ribs, while having some wine and the homemade mead I mentioned in another thread.

In that light, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all :)
Sounds perfect

Morning all, beautiful bright Boxing Day here, off for a walk soon to blow a few cobwebs away. Hope Father Christmas was good to you all, we had some lovely presents, including this beauty from son and family. Have a good day, all💙

You’ll have to go and see it in-situ when the ground opens, lovely present.

I'm off to watch some non-league football with my ol' man, which could otherwise be described as having a pint or two.

In terms of the sun, it's low and bright today with the temperature pretty mild here - no need for gloves when walking the dog.

Yeah I was tempted by Burscough v Skem but as we have guests staying ( who have no interest whatsoever in football ) I thought I'd get the brownie points and stay in.

Enjoy Phil

Morning All!

I'm on day 7 of a cold, so no long walks yet. lol The weather here is nice maybe a little cool, but I'm trying to get over whatever I have.

I thought we were playing today until I checked the schedule yesterday. I don't mind putting off a match up with ManC, even it is just one day. Since all the excitement happened yesterday, I might catch up on holiday movies today. I took the day off from work so it's ok lol

In terms of invites to a dinner party I think it would have to be you lot…

We have terrible table manners.

On dinner parties, I would want to have a laugh, and be relaxed, so;

My sister. (We only have to look at each other to fall into secret giggles)
Nikki. (Obvs)
My mate Morph. (Just the funniest/nicest fella you could meet)
My niece Maddy. (See above)
Gordon Ramsey. (He is nothing like his public persona. Oh, and can actually cook)

A monumental piss up with ace food and triffic convo 100% guaranteed.
