Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I had my first Grandchild last weekend. A boy named Jesse. I've yet to see him as he been back and forth to hospital all week as he had Jaundice, they kept him in a couple of nights under the lamps but let him home last night. He has to go back again today to another blood test which takes 6 hours to see his blood levels so a lot of hanging around for my daughter in law who should be home resting. Hopefully I will get to meet him before he starts school 😆

He’s beautiful Sue, all the best for the young family…..

Good morning all on this nippy morning here in Finland .I hope all had a good night and slept well .
A big day for us, we have been invited to a mulled wine and cake shindig at our neighbours ,well about a mile away .They are one of the eleven houses in our village and our nearest neighbours have not been invited ! It looks as though we are being accepted as we don't really know them .The Finns are fine people but they all have a bubble and it is hard to breach it ,once you are in it is for life ,We do talk to anyone so that has probably swayed it .
Have great day all COYB
Shocked I am.

Sounds like a heavy night blue but in the right way.

I suspect that Fred's reaction would have been to be his usual charming self, humour her and get her pissed ASAP.

Me, well I'm sorry but I don't suffer fools gladly and whilst I would have tried to be pleasant and tried to reason with her I reckon I would have become impatient with her and made any excuse to get out of her company.

Maybe I was wrong and you should have told them.about Moshiri and Dyche
TBH mate I think I'd be the one getting pissed ASAP lol

I would however smile and nod in all the right places, whilst completely disregarding everything she says. It's a knack I've picked up over many years of networking;)

Good morning all on this murky day here in Hyvinkää .I hope all are well and had a great night .Well the shindig was a bit low key but very nice people ,we met our German neighbour who once again started a pointless discussion with me last time it was about religion ,this time Darwin's theory on evolution .She steadfastly disregards his opinions but does believe in a fourth dimension here on earth ( I am not sure that is where she is from ) with another species/race /being living alongside us ! I forgot to check what she was drinking .
What are the thoughts on here about evolution ? She wanted proof despite me saying that to change a species needs more time than I have witnessed .There is proof that birds are evolving and I explained that to her ,her reply was that was adapting to the environment -what is evolution other than that I replied but she insisted that she needed evidence of a fish becoming land based !
Have a great day all COYB.
You should have told her a few of your jokes Blue.;)

Hi All!,

Many thanks to all of you for wishing me good luck!!! My first day went great!! My new boss and co-workers are very nice, so I'm pretty excited about the future of this job. I'll catch up on the forum tonight! I'm super happy we won on Sunday! Let's continue that trend!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day!!

COYB!!!
So pleased for you V.;)

Congratulations, he looks super. My first son had a touch of jaundice when he was born , they didn’t bother too much in those days , he looked like he had a nice sun tan in all his photos . Hope Jesse is progressing well 👍

Good morning all on this dark morning here in Finland .Great news for @Vegas Toffee Girl ,as we all knew she would be fine .I hope all had a good night and have a fantastic day today .We went to a 16th birthday party yesterday ,the wifes side are all big people the shortest man is me and the nephews and niece are all more than 185cm .Too tall for a 16 year old girl I think ,it must limit the choices of suitors .Nice people and a nice party but to drive 100 miles there and back is a bit of a waste ,just letting my inner Victor out .For VTG ,Victor was a moaning old man with a bald head who had a very tolerant wife .Hmmm Enough of that then .Have a great day all.COYB
Ever think you've lived abroad too long Blue?

Thanks I will look that up .Have you seen "Sisu" ? Sisu means inner strength , it is worth a watch .There is also the story of the unkonown soldier that is on film .Do you have a film app?
Before everybody starts reaching for their remote control, I think it's fair to point out that Sisu is possibly one of the most gratuitously violent films I've ever seen.

It is good though. lol

Hello all. It's been a really awful weather day today. However it was lovely to have some company while I was working today. We had a proper lunch break and lots of coffee. We're off out tonight so I won't catch the match. Not sure how I feel about tonight. We could win but Anthony Gordon is looming large in my thoughts!
I love your Mum @jazzy!
Alternative translation.

We got bugger all done. ;)

Morning all, and as @blue1948 says, so much nicer after an unexpected 3 points. One of the nice surprises for me is how much improved Mykolenko is, and Seamus, bless him, absolutely rolling back the years with his performance. I'm up ridiculously early to go and have my Christmas nails done, then I’m off to son’s to wait for a delivery of his new specs. Then tonight I shall sit down with a nice G and T or similar and watch the game again on Amazon prime.
Have a wonderful Friday everyone 💙
Hope you don't mind if I join you Val.
