VAR

They should set a time limit for any VAR decision 30 seconds, if its not decided in that time then its not clear and obvious.

I dont care if a goal against us is 1mm offside and vice versa, if he is half a yard or a yard then yes but drawing these lines for a couple off millimeters is not how i want the game to be.

If you have to draw a line, it’s onside for me. Get rid of VAR, it’s awful.

Yes, also it can be manipulated because when a player plays the final ball (for an offside decision) is it taken from the point of contact or the point of release because i bet there is about 5 different freeze frames in that millisecond that could define if someone is on or offside?

To be honest with offsides they have the technology to take it out of human control. A sensor on the ball and position of the last man should clarify an offside in less than 5 seconds and a message in the linesman ear immediately. They love the lines and the drama that’s the whole issue with the decision making and the game right now. It’s a reflection of society and it doesn’t reflect football in a good light. Everything is scrutinised. By the way I’m not blaming people in society im blaming the systems in place which are creating this. Social media has a lot to answer for but the genie is out of the bottle and things will never be the same. Im at an age where Alot of us on here have seen both sides of the coin but anyones below the age of 25 haven’t.

Yep. The idea it’s somehow scientific when the entire thing is based on a blurry freeze frame image is nonsense.

I heard the commentator say 'plenty of drama' while we waited 2 and a half minutes for lines to be drawn in Spurs v Villa.

No it isn't, it's just a waste of people's time and energy. It increases injuries due to players cooling down and time added on at the end and nobody likes it, at all. It's the reality TV element and algorithmic approach to entertainment. What are people talking about most online? The VAR controversies? Lets have more of that then, drives engagement etc.

In the age of digital marketing and financial reward for somebody looking at your content whether they like it or not, deliberately constructed 'drama' is rampant.

The fact there is resistance to the automated offside system tells us all we need to know about the League's priorities

Plenty more engagement online today after Wolves were robbed last night. Plenty more content for the various channels to waffle on about while the football itself becomes no more than a tool to drive it.

PL has built itself up with marketing over the years and is better at it than all other leagues, but we might be seeing the dark side of that lately

Hard to disagree with that … it’s ironic that it’s called “ social” media … it’s created the most toxic environment, cancel culture amd spawned the youth of today that do not interact physically and are terrified to say the wrong g thing to eachother

Inappropriate Language
The whole system is an epic fail --- and corrupt.
Players now perfecting the art of falling over to gain a penalty ---- and the fools are falling for it --- fair play does not prevail anymore.
Last night proved it beyond any doubt ---- 1st penalty --- the ref said in retrospect is wasn't a penalty.
If Kilman went down to accentuate a headbut ---- which was plain and obvious Vinicius would have had a straight red.
They have since said ---- in retrospect he should have been sent off.
To compound matters ----- they have since said the Wolves penalty should have had the Fulham player sent off.
Absolute farce ----- Fulham should have been down to 9 men --- and the Semedo pen --- they have since admitted should not have been given.
What do you do ??? ----- its morally wrong ---- and our Premier league and VAR officials are a useless Bunch of inept [Poor language removed] !!!

Wolves have had in effect a 9 point penalty ----- due to inept and incompetent officials.
Everton have been deducted 10 points --- for a few million over budget ---- it's completely corrupt ---- Man City and Chelsea will tie the procedure in knots --- as they're far more culpable --- apologies for the rant ---- a nice Cognsc awaits ---- to calm me down --- lol.

I've been saying it since the Rodri handball against us. Literally 11,000 Evertonians all at the same time shout handball, it's as clear as day to anyone....everyone but the referee and then VAR

It's a corrupt system which serves certain teams and is used to manipulate results.

and this is an element of the game that the PGMOL/FA/EPL can control, they cant control an official throwing a flag up instinctively is harder to control.
