While I'd usually agree about phrases such as "Appears to show...", "...could be" and other such vagaries I'd imagine there's a legal line to be very aware of when writing about the financial dealings of billionaires with very expensive legal teams.

Of course there are plenty of fans who regardless of facts will always see this kind of thing as empty persecution of Everton. But if money made through dealings with a sanctioned individual has found it's way into the club in however roundabout a way then it's really not a good thing.

On the flipside the Esk stuff is quite funny.

Man the Grauniad has a weird fetish for this story. Moshiri, long standard business partner of Usmanov through multiple known entities including Arsenal; continued to have business transactions until sanctions hit. All of Moshiri’s money has come from business with Usmanov, cos he’s never made any from us.

...hold on, Simon Goodley's written an update...

No no no just no

Another Guardian article on Moshiri and Usmanov and their related financial dealings . Usmanov spokesman quoted as hoping that the debt of Moshiri and his companies to Usmanov and his companies will be paid from the sale of Everton FC.

Well id be shocked if the sale of Everton led to an increase in Usmanov's bank balance mate.

Too funny.
