Need fresh legs for the Brighton game, rest Mykolenko, Branthwaite, DCL, McNeil & Harrison if we can. Would like to rest another CM but not many alternatives in there other than Gana.
Why does Harrison need a rest?

For me this is our most important game of the season.

We really need to build some momentum and form at home. Make Goodison a place teams fear coming and the only way we will do that is with victories.

Id give the centre backs 45 mins each alongside Godfrey. I'd play Coleman.

The rest as is.

For me it's one of the least, but great to have a midweek distraction and I hope for the win

Is Seamus fit?

…unless he’s tearing it up in training, I can’t understand the suggestions to play Godfrey. As an early admirer of his, he literally looks gone at the game since his injury and reports of Long COVID.

He’s a shadow of the athlete he was but perhaps posters have heard he’s showing really positive form at Finch Farm. it would be good if he’s fit and firing.

I can’t see Coleman being involved at all, from what I read he’s only just back training with the squad.

Would love a good cup run but with points deduction surely coming league now big priority ”rest” as many as possible don’t risk the likes of brainthwaite dcl or pick .

Why does Harrison need a rest?

He came into the team very late, no pre-season (and in fairness he looks very fit and athletic), but we don't want to fall into the trap of overworking players who have perhaps not had a real build up of fitness. Could Harrison do 3 games in a week without complication? Only the management team at the club know.

In fairness as well, Dyche, Woan and the staff have done a really good job managing fitness and injuries and they don't rush them back. If Harrison, or any starter for that matter perhaps isn't wanting to be risked, i'd rather target the brighton game.
