Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi All!

Just got back from the stable. It was windy and autumn like. All 3 pets (minus the birds) are on the couch with me right now trying to stay warm. smh It's like 75 degrees in the house! They wouldn't last in Britain! lol

Going back to my 3 weeks of drama, it's all bit of a blur now, but it was rough for awhile. Long story short I was sick twice, my son was sick twice, but his 1st illness started with a headache and a swollen lymph node to 2 days later he woke up with chest pain so bad he could hardly breath. I rushed him to the ER where they took him right in. They did chest xrays and EKG and said his heart was fine, but his lungs were inflamed from a virus. Thankfully that was all!

About a week after that, I was at the police station filing a report on a neighbor from my gated community who threatened my son and his friend who were just knocking on doors looking for their lost drone. So happy those weeks are over!

I hope everyone's Saturday is going well!
You mentioned birds ,what do you keep ? I used to reed mainly finches but some parrot family but not softbills. Nice to hear that week is over and I hope you get the neighbour sorted out .

Good morning all on this confusing day today ,I didn't forget the clocks but turned them the other way so have been up since 4.30 .I hope all had a good sleep and have a fine day today .COYB
I'm sorry, but this has really made me chuckle. I hope you get to rest at some point to make up for the error.

Fortunately, my youngest decided to have a slight lie in, so while I was up at 6.30 on the clock it would have been 7.30, which is a rest for me.

Another morning of football, off to mass, and then I'll watch the Everton game as I continue to decorate the kitchen and dining area.

Thank you! My son is a tough kid, so when he told me about the pain it was time to go.

As for the incident, because he threatened my son and his friend (ages 14 and 13) with bodily harm, it's considered a harassment charge. This guy has caused issues in that side of the neighborhood before. Myself and the other boy's Mom told them about the other incidents, whether they were reported before or not, who knows?

There was a witness who stepped in to help the boys that the detective might have spoken with. The police dept was hoping for some video footage, but I'm not sure if there were any cameras around there. After listening to what we said they took us in to the 2nd waiting room to fill out official statements. I haven't heard back from them.
It takes a real tough guy to threaten a couple of kids. Really hope the police do something about him.

You've had a very stressful time. I hope everything has calmed down and your son is feeling better x

Morning everyone,

Forget to tell Granny that the clocks go back so she was up like a lark at 5am ....oops.

7am now and it feels like a big lie in for me.

Backs gradually getting better and I might even risk a bit of gardening this morning. I need to move a very big Camellia and Amalanchier ( both in excess of 12 ft , have been in the ground for years and the roots will be a nightmare) but only have a limited window weather wise.
Added to that I need to move 5 rose bushes into a new rose garden that I am creating for Granny.

Yep all that should keep me busy and I haven't even mentioned the leaf collection which started last week .

Will make time to watch the game , fingers crossed that we can get something out of it.

Anyway whatever you do have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning all. It's raining here. I'm just about to get up but I've been awake for ages. I think I'll watch the England v India match and hope for a miracle. I'll also be watching Everton. Fingers crossed for a win.
I'm not sure what to make of this 12 point deduction story that is being reported on a daily basis. How do people know? Who is feeding the media? Simon Jordan, who is usually quite anti Everton, seems to be the only one who is supporting us and saying that from what he heard the PL were very poor in their presentation to the inquiry. I'm.also very confused about how our one charge is being heard at what appears to be lightning speed whereas Man City seem to be able to kick their 114 charges further down the road every time they are mentioned. I don't really understand FFP but to my untutored eye it seems to be a mechanism to keep the rich rich and is anything but fair.
Anyway enough of that. Only a two day week this week tzzhen off for three days and move teams on 6th. I'm still thinking about reducing my hours. I'll probably wait until after Christmas to decide what to do.
Have a good day all and @jazzy be careful with your back of you do your gardening.

Morning all, my body clock decided to ignore the fall back bit and I’ve not long been awake. I too am like you @anjelikaferrett - I don’t understand this FFP issue really but what occurs to me is that whatever happens it won’t be a drama for them to make an example of us like it would if it were City or one of the other faves. It could actually ruin us as a football club - we couldn’t recover from a 12 point deduction really other than by a miracle. It’s too stressful to even contemplate. I also watched the boxing last night and whilst I hold my hands up and admit I know nothing about boxing it seemed to me that the other guy was the winner and I’ve heard others say similar. It just makes me think that sport at the top level is corrupt, biased and somewhat scripted. I feel very disillusioned at the moment. Three points today would help of course. I’m off for my flu jab this morning so I’d better get my skates on. As Anje says please be careful with your back @jazzy - with my old work hat on I’d say it’s probably not the best activity for a recovering back problem.
Have a great day everyone 💙

….my 22 month grandson stayed in ours last night, unfortunately he doesn’t understand what it means for the clocks to go back; Grandad and Harry have been playing and watching Zog since 4am.
I was the childminder for our grandkids. Each of our three granddaughters in turn were obsessed by Peppa Pig, by the time the last one went to school I had seen the series that many times I was ready to abandon vegetarianism and would have cheerfully spit roasted the entire Pig family.lol
