The safdies and Nathan fielder are pretty much my dream collaboration. I hope it's very werid
Yep, certainly one big c**k up by the police. The series itself was like an A to Z of English actors, had as much fun guessing who they were and what had I seen them in before.Finished 'The Long Shadow', decent watch tbf, incredible what a shambles the police investigation was though, he was only caught by pure luck in the end.
I thought it was great. Got me hooked on Flanagan. Is Midnight Mass any good?
I’m going to start Fall of the House of Usher tonight - Mike Flanagan’s new one. I saw it described as Succession meets a horror story, will be interesting.
Similar here….I liked Midnight Mass, although the last two episodes fell apart a bit, and this is watchable but very meh so far. I have done 4 episodes so half way through.Finished it. I'm not sure what to think. On one hand, we got through it pretty quick and were interested enough to keep going to the next episode. It's certainly watchable.
On the other hand, some of the script is laughably bad. The one-dimensional characters, the ham-fisted monologues on capitalism, it's like Succession without the irony or humour.
Maybe I've watched too much Mike Flanagan now, but as soon as one of his big monologues hit, I switch off mentally, and it feels like they're becoming even more frequent and self-indulgent with each new show. I remember he put one in Midnight Mass (which I really liked overall) and it was so infuriatingly pointless and meandering I shouted at the TV
Just finished this. Excellent show, one of the best shows I’ve seen recently. Enjoyed it more than narcos which seemed to have a lot more hype.Wading through Snowfall. It’s been decent. I’m enjoying Season 5 but it’s very different to the others. Feels like a different show altogether.
