Its a bizare statement. As if he's suggesting there are two completely different fanbases. Going by his press confrences he clearly thinks he's doing a brilliant job and is above criticism. When you've lost the first 4 home games of the season what was he expecting, flowers and chocolates.
Its not rocket science. 7 points from the first 24 is going to be questioned. Esp as we've played 5 of the bottom 7.
He's got a bit of benitez about him in that its everyone else.

The team passed the eye test and looks like a proper balanced side finally that's building on a sound foundation.

Compared to last season we are miles ahead now we just have to win and collect the points.

If you ask me he's probably talking about the YouTubers calling for his sack, not really sure he's aware of us lot or those on other sites.

What YouTubers mate?

lol

I get the feeling Dyche acknowledges that many of the Cult of Lampard have had it out for him since day one and he feels empowered enough post Bournemouth to have a dig.

Call em out Dyche !
That speaks volumes to me, he beat a winless relegation fodder Bournemouth at home to flex his muscles. lol

I wouldnt argue with that. But it is a results based job and i cant just ignore we've played 5 of the bottom 7 and got 7 points from 24. Lots of talk about XG. His 10 year career stats are less than a goal per game.
Tests are on the way. I hope we do well as ive stated before. A stress free run in would be welcome this season.

Im old enough to have heard lots of talk from managers. I havent got a real issue with dyche but he does need to own it at times. The bottom line is points on the board and previous to bournemouth(worst team ive seen at Goodison in a long time) it was 3 points from 21. With a lot of points on the table opposition in there.
Dyche can talk a lot. He talked a lot at Burnley. It only gets you so much leeway.

Me too, im afraid to count the Everton mangers ive seen.

Well i suppose i look at it like this. I think we the worst team if not one off to ever stay up last year. How he did it with no centre forward and laterally full back is beyond me. That's the past, but its also the starting point to this season. How do you recover one of the worst teams in the PL to be not be. That's my expectation this season and i think that's realistic, it might be different if he working under excellent corporate governance, it might be different if he had huge resources to invest - neither of those things are the case, it might be different if the team didn't deserve to finish were they did last season - they did. So for me the job of work is recovering that.

We were late to the party, with recruitment and only really looked to get some players back in game week 4. Since then we've won 50% of our games, more if you include the cup - with players returning, culminating with a full deck at the weekend. So from a resource point of view - he can now be judged on a full squad.

From a culture point and mentality point of view, he has to change that, he recently said "its two steps forwad (Brentford and Villa) one step back" (Luton). That is the critical thing. I wont pull any punches to say our culture, mentality and identity has been poor for far too long and it’s embedded in a lot of these players. Changing that is a process rather than an event. We can pull a Villa and Luton in the league still as much as we can pull a Brentford, Villa (LC) and Bourmoth or Brighton last year if you like. That mentality, identity and consistency is what hes trying to create in the group, that's the recovery from the very low base we were at. Anyone expecting instant results is fooling themselves. It’s a process not an event. So we need to stick - for once.

Why? Because - what he did last year was a miracle and there is enough evidence in Brentford, Villa and Bourmouth - to see what hes trying to do - compared to say Lampard last year were it was clear it was all going South with no change.

As i say its about recovery from a very low base, its a process rather then an event, but there are signs and shoots if you care to look. Ive no doubt it will be boom and bust though - but we must be patient - the last thing we need is more instability at this club.

Would genuinely welcome an uptick in results and safety by Spring. Can't see him being here all that long, so would rather it be a season end changeover with safety secured than the chaos of the last couple. Mind you, last time that happened we got Benitez. Ugh.
