At the end of the day he is one us and loves the club.

And the reason he gets paid what he does is because he is pretty decent. Just my opinion though.

I agree that he wouldn't get a start for the top tier teams, but if you haven't noticed, we are not a top tier team atm. Mid table at best...not happy about it, but it's the reality of things. He is not Messi, but we will miss him dearly when he leaves. Has been our best player since his arrival IMHO.

Felli now that he looks fit again?

Landon's not the end-all-be-all, but his talent is up there with some of the best Everton currently have so he gets some hype compared to other rumored transfer targets.

You consider him an above average PL player. I won't argue that given what he has done in the PL to this point ,but his specific talents are what Everton are missing. Also he gets it. He's a Toffee for life. That's a huge part of the hype/cult status.

He's better than Aaron Lennon and Kalou so I'd say he'd have a decent chance of getting into the Spurs and Chelsea lineups, albeit not as a guaranteed week in, week out starter. He's definitely better than Downing so he would definitely get into the Liverpool line up on merit. And Newcastle, are you joking? Ben Arfa is ace but I don't see him struggling to get in there.

And I'm not exactly a Landon trumpet blower. I think he's a good player with a great attitude but not the world beater many make him out to be. But I stand by the above.

Pretty much everyone, except the top 4/5. This is our team anyway not every other team in the PL, he's been our best player last 3 games.

I don't actually think people make him out to be a world beater.

It's just that when he first came back we were devoid of attacking football and hard work. He brings both.

are u sure ???? he may well have been our best performer since he came here,,, thats your opinion... but the point I am making is he is not the world class player most people here think he is. I firmly believe he is genuinely an above average premier league player.

i think you kind of get what i am trying to say,,, he is not the world beater some would have you think..... personally i would take Lennon over him every day of the week and Kalou... but thats just me.

That is what gets him in the conversation as being a top top players.

How many Everton players have 3 World Cups and a Confederations Cup final under their belt?

and I guarantee he pushes the starting 11 in all PL teams outside of Manchester.

if he was that good he would be at a top team not at galaxy..... im not saying he's a bad player at all just nowhere near up there with the best in the prem league let alone anywhere else. To say he is a top top player is ludicrous.

It has been by his choice he is not at a top team (Other then Everton) If he had, had this success at Everton when he was 23 and he could have a top team would have bought him. Who wants to fork over 12 mil for a almost 30 year old who has not spent a full year in a top European league?

His ability is not why he is not at a top team.
