I'm potentially worried about squad depth

Fine with him leaving, but if Beto gets injured right now then we're back into the frying pan with a DCL who struggles for fitness and a young Chermitti who hasn't had the best of starts

I personally would have kept Cannon if we were booting Maupay (and not bought Chermitti if I'm being honest. No real need to buy him if we already had Cannon and weren't going to keep Simms)
Im shocked that you of all people are saying things like Chermo hasnt had the best of starts.

But Maupay doesn't offer anything regardless of Cannon leaving.

Danjuma can play there too.

Not thrilled about that to be honest

I'd rather we kept Cannon and save the money we spent on Chermitti for something else whilst also moving on Maupay

*shrugs*
Why not? He played there often enough for Villareal and did well.

Lets face it nobody knows nothing about Cannon.

The Chermiti signing is probably not ideal timing wise but we always bang on about signing up and coming players.

He started one game

He could very well turn out good in the long run

However, from watching him in that game he seemed really off the pace and I think it's going to take a while to get him adapted to the English game

Cannon was much better positioned to be plugged in IMO, but now we'll only know that if Leicester come back up and he starts slotting for them

You have to grade the kids on a scale as I always say, but he was really bad in that Doncaster game (most of them were in fairness) whereas I never thought the same whenever Cannon got a chance

Anyway, this is the Maupay thread. Feel free to @ me in the appropriate thread if you'd like to continue this
