Transfer Rumour Che Adams

I don’t consider £12m cheap. Yes it’s cheap compared to Declan Rice, but it’s still a significant sum for a club like us who make absolutely no money ourselves.

But it's still cheap in modern day football. It's cheap in the market.

Cheap is still relative to the player you’re buying. £12m for Gnonto would be cheap as he’s realistically worth/could be worth a lot more than that. Adams realistically isn’t and has no scope to get better. I don’t think it’s a good use of £12m personally.

12 million for a player without resell value ain't cheap in any market.

Much better value out there, but convincing players to sign for Everton now will always be a challenge.

*up to £12. What if it's like £8m + addons?

Mate you know how many strikers from the bottom half of the table score 10 goals last season?

Awoniyi
Eze (winger)
Rodrigo

Finding a striker who scores 5 to 8 goals in the bottom half of the table/at our level is very much a good thing.

And from those 3...the majority of the fanbase wouldn't want 2 of them, even when one was a free.
Yes this is what I was trying to say to somebody earlier I don't know if it's people playing computer games or if people are thinking its still 10 or 20 years ago when people like Yakubu, Wilf Bony, Demba Ba, Benteke, Roque Santa Cruz, Benjani and others were coming over here to normal teams and doing very well but that hasn't been happening for years now. If all these strikers are out there who could come to Everton and score 15 goals why is literally nobody able to find them when the whole premier league would love to sign them. Myself i would think that means its not as easy as people say but they won't have it.

5 whole years of Che Adams on probably 80-100k a week. If he doesn't work out it will be a nightmare moving him on & we've had our fair share of that with other players.
I get the argument that he fits better into a Dyche system & actually agree with it.
If it doesn't though we have a broken DCL, Maupay, A Portuguese kid who is already seemingly invisible & Che bloody Adams as our 4 main attackers.
Domestos will rain from the sky & we as a club are apparently wide eyed & accepting of it.
