Again though you've no idea what the structure of the deal would be accepted.

It's alright saying we could've done this and that but if the selling club is like "we want 80% upfront" we won't do it.

That's what we're dealing with. It's not about the comparable fees it's about how they're paid which narrows down who we can get

I agree...though €8mil El Bilal and €2.5 initial loan fee Moffi dont strike me as unachievable targets based on deals weve done and are trying for the past 2 summers.

Well, it's happening I guess.

Disgraceful. Csn only hope this doesnt happen.

Maupay (PL+Champ): 2.57 games per goal, 1.95 games per goal involvement
Adams (PL + Champ): 2.87 games per goal, 1.99 games per goal involvement

Maupay (Career): 2.54 games per goal, 1.96 games per goal involvement
Adams (Career): 2.67 games per goal, 1.94 games per goal involvement

So basically, the only way Maupay is better than Adams is if we get relegated, which we'd have a greater chance of doing playing Maupay, cracking.
You run a Mann-Whitney test on those data and you'll find that there is no statistical difference. What these data show is that Adams = Maupay. We already have a Maupay.

Yeah that doesn’t look great.
However, Maupay’s most successful years were based on him playing in a 442 system geared to get the best out of him. He’s now not in that system and is underperforming massively.

Adams has got his success playing in our type of system and should be more suited to reproduce his career average numbers for Everton than Maupay

Adams best years was also playing in a 442 when he was alongside Ings.

Possibly for El Bilal but Moffi ended up costing Nice €20mill after his loan spell.

If the next step was to buy him and the club didnt like the deal...we'd be back to squad one.

The point being is we don't know the mechanics of how we're willing to pay. All we know if that it plays a factor into who we buy

If that with Scotland?

Never seen a Southampton team defending so deep as Everton under Dyche. Never seen Adams spending most of the matches 70 meters away from the opponent goal.
