Transfer Rumour Wilifred Gnonto

Buying players we shouldn't lose money on I'm all for - it's why I was happy with McNeil (and tbf, Maupay...) because their age/experience meant you shouldn't lose money.

But I read PSG paid £30m for the lad on an obligation to buy which happened in June. They mustn't fancy him now, and Newcastle haven't gone back for him (yet?) but either way, I think we'll have to pay a few bob for him either now or at some point so not sure he's a "money in the bank" player.

Each to their own mate, but I dont understand the fangurling over a player if you've never seen them kick a ball.

Reading posts like "KEVS COOKING, CHERMITI, EKITIKE WOW" - when they hadn't heard of either a week ago, nevermind seen them kick a ball.

It's not inevitable any transfer is better than what we have.

What is inevitable is we're in a relegations crap if we dont bring in goals.

Say what you want about Maupay - but there's an argument to be had about why he scored goals regularly before us. If we signed Maupay just after he was scored 25+ in the Championship at 21, or 10 Premier League league goals in his debut season at 23 for Potter's Brighton then we'd all be pretty thrilled. He's just not a number 9, and never in this team. Is Chermiti? is Ekitike? I reckon very few can answer because they've never seen either play so let's calm it eh.
Tbf that’s just the Dalai Lameass posting that

Mate half the fanbase want us to sign Gnoto, like anybody has watched him for longer than 5minutes.

Hell the way some people talk about Everton players makes me question whether they watch Everton.
I imagine people have watched a fair amount of him, many of our fans likely watched a lot of Leeds last year or at least I know I did.

Only recall Gnonto from when we played them and Coleman got the better of him in that 1-0.

I watched Leeds the other day just to watch Gnonto and based on that one game alone, I think he'd be very useful. I figure his age and profile, if we can sign for around £15m then we dont lose money and would feel an upgrade on Gray.

Imagine if we got both this fella as well Ekitike. I would have a hysterical rectum.

More likely won't get either of them but we can dream until we find ourselves asleep again.

Imagine how you would feel if we got world class players that competed for titles.

I figured based on your excitement...

... then you might have had some insight - like having seen him kick a ball.

My mistake.
Have you seen him kick a ball in person? Feel free to share your insight. Would be useful to have something other than you tube, that goes for most blues i would imagine.

I mean I was kinda joking, of course I imagine a lot of people have watched Leeds.

I know I watch most Premier League games, but do we really watch players? Of course some catch the eye, but are we really invested in what we are watching?

I meme a lot, but Gnoto looks a very good prospect, from the very, very brief views ive had of the lad, my concern is that he does seem to lack an end product, but after watching a few vids he gets volleyed quite often, which does kinda impact on your chance making.

Young fast attackers with high ceilings is much more exciting than everything else we’re linked with but these high ceilings also come with the possibility they never hit their potential or don’t hit it quick enough and we end up like Southampton and Leeds LY who were praised for their youthful exciting signings

No, which is my whole point.

But I'm not the one posting about having a a hysterical rectum and how we can dream of signing Ekitike though - which prompted me to ask if you'd seen him play.

I've asked in his thread if anyone has - maybe we'll get some insight from someone who has seen him on a football pitch kicking a ball.
