Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this miserable day here in Hyvinkää. I hope all are well after a good kip ,nice to see @Vegas Toffee Girl posting again .Lovely photo that ,as said before it is not what we would expect from Nevada . Have a great day all .I read the match is live on Everton TV as long as you not in the UK wink wink because of the stupid 3 o'clock kick off rule .
Talking about rules the one that no more ganging up on the ref that a certain local team has gotton off to a fine art is now against the rules ! We will see how Klipperty's gang of thugs get around that as we all know they will . COYB

Morning folks , well I survived my Scottish Orienteering 6 Days event and met my objectives of not getting injured and finishing in the top half of the Men 70 age group 😀. It was a nice staycation as all the events were local to me , had an old friend stay the week with us, No1 son stayed a couple of nights and I kept bumping into people I’ve known for 40 odd years from Orienteering but hadn’t seen for many years. Didn't do much GOT/ Evertoning so overall it was a lovely calm week !

That's brilliant BL. Well done. Puts my 4 mile coastal walks firmly in their place 😀

Evening All!

I don't post every day, well, because right now my days are about the same lol

Every day is hot. There is only so many ways I can describe it...very hot...raging hot...flaming hot....I'm living on the sun...any way! :) I did get a decent amount of rain the other day and that cooled things off quite a bit. But back to the heat today.

Still haven't started my job, but the hiring person told me today that I will within a month, so there is that.

Here is a pic I took in June. This mountain is the tallest in the area at 11k feet elevation. I live on the downslope of it. I'm heading home after being at the stable in this pic. Still has snow in June lol It's gone now though.

Have a good night's sleep everyone!

Great pic, what a view. The heat sounds brutal, hope it cools down soon.

Good morning all.

Wow! well done.

Hi all. Hope you are well. Once again we have monsoon like rain (Sorry @Vegas Toffee Girl - loved your mountain pic.) I feel so sorry for anybody who has planned a wedding or any other outdoor event over the past few weekends. My son's cricket team haven't been able to play for the last three weeks.
Last night was fun. I have never eaten so much meat in my life - to be honest it was too much. Every cut of beef you could imagine, sausages, lamb, pork, gammon, chicken. There were waiters wandering around the tables with the meat on massive skewers and just sliced a bit off for you. There was also a salad bar and a hot food station that had potatoes, rice, gravy, garlic mushrooms that you could just go and help yourself to.
We're out again tonight- another 50th birthday celebration.
Enjoy your day folks x

Afternoon everyone ,

Well the rain eventually relented and remarkably I was able to watch some village cricket. Mind you I was bloody freezing. Usually I enjoy a couple of pints whilst I watch - today I had a cup of tea!

My "other" team Plymouth got off to a great start in the Championship and fingers crossed they may stay up.

Mrs J has cooked one of my fave's for tonight ( Biryani ) and announced when I came in that she's gone and booked a Caribbean cruise for us - she must have been so fed up with me going on about Fred's Scandanavian adventure !

So all good in the Jazzy household..

Have a lovely evening everyone.
