When you say fans its a just the usual contrarian. Majority would love to win it.
There's a few, wait until the League cup draw comes, you'll see a lot saying mickey mouse cup, every season it's the same. That's a competition we've never won but apparently shouldn't bother.

I think we need to win it in order to validate it as the 4th tier domestic trophy it is

I don't think he was great at Sunderland like he was decent, but 7 goals isn't great

Good move for that gyokres to sporting though
7 goals in half a seasons not too bad. Was aiming for 15. We'd be made up if someone scored 15 for us, last season. In fact we'd likely have not been in the final religation scrap, if we'd had that.
He's played 219 minutes for the club

He hasn't even been given the chance to struggle
Good point. Dyche was the guy who was paid a lot of money to keep us up. He obviously didn't really think much of him. He saw him in training. I was surprised Simms didn't get a start after scoring at Chelsea.

I think we dodged a bullet here. It's a big step up from Championship to Premier League. Look at Simms, great at Sunderland struggled at Everton. Although he is in a poor team, and put in the hardest away games.

I think the Coventry player will do great in Portugal.
Different quality player Simms and this guy,Simms is miles off Premier standard

The bit I dont understand about all this FFP is that we have also benefited from the biggest TV deal, we sell out every game, we havent spent any meaningful sums for a while and we have had some of our biggest earners off the books.

Its not like we havent had income that we would have been able to spend- add to that all the big sales we've had- surely there has to be some wiggle room in regards to spending.
This is what I thought, but people informed me that despite getting some huge earners off the wage bill, its still about 90% of our turnover, which just shows how mental we were a few years ago throwing £100k p/w+ at anyone who would listen.

I'd be cock-a-hoop if we won a European trophy, even the third tier one. Dave's just being Dave.
Can see both sides tbh, the Europa conference is a lot of extra games and despite spending a fortune last summer it still nearly cost West Ham their league place at one point and they only just got safe right at the end. Winning something would lift everyone though.
