A couple of United supporters I know absolutely hate Darron Gibson, but being awful at Manchester United and awful at Everton are two different things. I find the signing funny on face value, but for only £500k it could work out for you lot. Little risk really.

They boo him every time he gets the ball I've been told. But as you said, it not working out with United isn't the same as it not working out with pretty much anyone else in the league. Their reserves could probably cut it in the prem.

But some are so desperate to feel negative about it they can't see that.

It's easier to say "ehh, he sucks and can't get a game over Paul Scholes and a bunch of people I don't know say he sucks."

There are plenty of other things to be upset about at Everton, this certainly isn't one of them.

If that fee is agreed it is a great deal. Half a million for an international midfielder with premiership experience. An untried second division player would cost as much. A centre Half even on joan, a striker and sign up drenthe would be great news. Sell billy to cover some of it

But he's still on an Everton forum when they're our main rivals, and while his comments are kind of fair on here, the amount of sh*te he talks in 'World Football' is ridiculous.
