He's turning 35 and is prone to injuries and is more likely to be needed than a Davies is. We need a younger, fitter backup RB. Davies is just a cheap body.

But an academy player can do as good a job as sitting on the bench as a back up, and more than likely on the pitch than this joker.

We do not need to bring someone in to replace him as benchwarmer but look internally.

Which game did we (we, not you) lose this season because of Davies coming on as a sub? We lost 8 of 19 PL games he appeared in and 4 of those he played <=20 mins

If Brighton can sign Mitoma for under 5 mill then thelwell should be the one we should be looking at right now. Little money is still okay it’s our scouting that needs to improve. Oh yeah and send Davies out to the American football league.

As 4th or 5th choice id probably have been happy with keeping Davies. But he has been injured quite a lot recently and you need your squad cover to be fit and available. So I'm a bit surprised he's been offered a contract.

To me this is another Hibbert and Osman situation in terms of staying beyond the required competitiveness. Hibbert in particular should of been gone years before as should this lad.
