Regardless of inbounds, I’m hoping to see Tarkowski and Branthwaite start their partnership on opening day.

Coady was average and if funds really are as tight as we fear then every penny needs to go on firepower.
Will be interesting to watch Branthwaite during pre season. I agreed with the loan move because I didnt think he was ready at the end of last season (red card v Brentford, then poor at Arsenal). I haven't followed his loan spell but it sounds like its gone well, so I'm hoping we see a much improved player this incoming season.

Branthwaite should come back as back up and little more at the moment. One decent season in an average leaugue doesnt make him the solution to our poor defence. Hope he becomes a decent player for us but hes got a long way to go to convince us of that.

Me too mate. No better man to lead him through games than Tarks. Those 2 lads have goals in them as well and let’s face it, we need more of those.

He needs games. I’m convinced on this lad- height/pace/left footed/scoring threat.

We need to convince him his future is here.

Nothing against Coady at all like, just think Branthwaite’s time is now.

Weve got a back up now in Branthwaite so assuming we are bringing another CB in who hopefully is better than what we have(which shouldnt be hard Tarkowski excepted) then did we really need to keep him? Im happy with him goimg to be honest.

I hope you are right but the idea that he comes back and walks in alongside tarks next season is maybe expecting a bit much? It might work but if he has a few dodgy moments how long till the boo boos eat away at his confidence? Bring in a decent experienced starter and ease him in gradually for me.

If this was at the start of the season and what we have is what we have then fair enough but the season finished last week. I cant imagine we are losing 2 cbs albeit Branthwaite returning and we arent gonna bring one in from somewhere.
