Always assumed contracts run until the 30th June, is he definitely gone? Don’t want to celebrate prematurely.
He probably means that Tom was told yesterday that Everton will be letting his contract expire. Been reported that the squad had been called in to finch farm for these kind of discussions. I think there's a premier league deadline for released/retained lists which is most likely a month before contract expiration (end of June), to allow players to start looking for a new club.

local lad, playing for his local team probably taking home about 30k a week...
Cant knock the lad, i'd shake his hand if i ever met him and say fair play
Seen him in the space of a week driving cars worth 300k (Lamborghini then tesla)

aged 24 and could retire tomorrow.
So much for his skater boy image. Glad to see the back of him. Never good enough

Makes sense, keen to see who’s on the list and who isn’t. Would be surprised if anyone other than Begovic and Coleman is kept on (and that includes the loan players too).

Think it's around Easter

If he’d played with the same hunger he did when bursting through he’d probably still be here. Koeman who loved a big name played him ahead of Schendierlin and Klaasen, then Allardyce did as well.

He was hungry in that season to establish himself in the team and was aggressive looking to create and score. Once he was crowned as the Everton golden boy by the Everton board and seemingly guaranteed a spot in the starting line up every week the. He just stopped working and declined massively.

Shame he didn’t come through under Moyes or Dyche because I’d imagine they’d have had none of that nonsense and probably would have turned him into a handy PL squad player. Now he’ll be lucky to start in the championship.
