I think its cos most shows will never match its peak.

Every show has an episode that will just blow you away and you never really get anything like that again.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a better one off TV series, than S1 of True Detective. Everything was just impeccable on it but I am missing TV shows, that I need to look at like The Wire and Peaky Blinders but I’ll be amazed if they’re as good as True Detective.

S1 series of True Detective was Superb, But watch 'The Wire' and then come back and see if you've still got the same opinion.

The Wire is an actual Masterpiece.. ( All that needs to be said )

But then again you are looking at 2 completely different era's which could make a world of difference in your liking.

At the end of the day we all have different preferences in series/ storylines don't we....

I really like some of the dark and gritty Aussie stuff, that`s what drew me too it.

Yes, it's good and has one of the best characters in TV (Noho Hank). I'm surprised how under the radar it's gone

Just remember the wire has one main character, the city of baltimore, each season is an exploration into the failings of the city itself.

I really liked we own this city as a one off series. North water as well. Severance is also very very good but will have a new series fairly soon.

One of the best shows I’ve ever seen, brilliant and very original. Barry is good, but this is a similar style show but better. The lead character is more endearing than Barry. Barry is obviously a psychopath type with a heart, hard to warm too. Ray in this is a normal guy with a morale compass, at least more than Barry.

Anyway much better than Barry in my opinion
