TV Series

Yes mate that’s his name.

Was going to watch bloodline about 2 years ago but never got round to it. Any good?

Bloodline is fantastic, but it`s quite slow and very character driven.

It`s one to watch, if you appreciate something that`s very well written, perfectly cast and you don`t mind the fact that it kind of just wanders along, as the family politics and dynamics evolve and unravel.

I`ve just finished series one of Yellow Jackets and I think it`s caught between being a dark adult drama and a dark teen drama.

Some of it is woefully bad and a real waste of the talents of the likes of Juliette Lewis.

However some of it is really good too.

I`m not a fan of the way they`re running two timelines in tandem, as it means you don`t really concentrate on either.
Agreed fully. I always struggle when a series does an entire flashback episode. Feels like the main story is on hold for 2 weeks (in the good old days of one episode a week). The fact the whole series keeps bouncing back and forth frustrates me. I am intrigued to see what’s going on, but can’t be arsed. Started Silo instead.

1st season was great. Thought they should have left it at that

Yeah it’s a weird show. Don’t think I can be arsed with the next season. Should have been a one season thing.

Just watched the first episode of Foundation on Apple TV. Very impressive so far.

Got through most of it, and it was brilliant in parts (one outstanding episode in particular). But I felt it really fizzled out and I never ended up watching it to the end

Finished succession. Don’t know if I loved or hated the final episode.
Yep really enjoyed it overall, what I’ve learned from the really good shows, is that the final episode always appears to be divisive - some will like it, hate or will be apathetic to it but overall, a really good piece of television.

People put way too much weight on finales of shows. It's just a show coming to an end, it doesn't need to be krazy, it just needs to be complete

I've not watched the finale yet, but I'd say most good shows go for a bit more of an 'anti-finale' stance

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a better one off TV series, than S1 of True Detective. Everything was just impeccable on it but I am missing TV shows, that I need to look at like The Wire and Peaky Blinders but I’ll be amazed if they’re as good as True Detective.

Peaky blinders is just a John Lewis advert gone rouge, no need to waste your time

I think its cos most shows will never match its peak.

Every show has an episode that will just blow you away and you never really get anything like that again.
