Summer transfer window 2023

Should be working on loans early in the window.
I'd be chasing Cole Palmer and sniffing around that Chelsea squad for young hungry players (ala Pip Schofield) that aren't going to get game time.
If we are interested in Gyokeres then go get it done early, likewise any others Thelwell has been youtubing since last summer.
Imo I'd be lining up a good keeper and taking the money on Pickford as well.
Lots to be done, no time to wait

Suspect we will be looking at some meat and potato Dyche types. Che Adams, Jack Harrison, Matt Targett, Chris Wood.

I’m expecting us to be linked with anyone who has played for Wolves (because of Kev) and anyone who has played at Burnley, (because of Dyche). Probably Weghorst if Utd sign a striker.

Thelwell seems to a poser. Not sure about his ability or whether he has one hand tied behind his back due to our sickening board of tripe.

A half decent squad could be accumulated from that. For the 2014/15 season.

From the horrors of the relegation thread, to the horrors of the summer transfer thread - this Club never stops causing emotional carnage.

A huge summer, vital to arresting our sleepwalk into regular relegation fodder.

Key Positional Ins: Starting LB, RB, CB x 2 (Branthwaite), DM, Right Winger, CF x 2.

We essentially need a defensive rebuild, only Tarkowski is safe as a starter (Patterson should hopefully kick on). A full attacking rebuild, we need at least three quality forwards, both strikers and wingers.

Outs from current squad: Mina (unfortunately), Davies, Holgate, Keane, Townsend, Maupay

Outs from contracted players: Gbamin, Dele, Gomes, Gibson, Onyango,

Loans: Mills, Warrington, Simms, Cannon,

Hopeful starting line up 23/24

Pickford
Patterson/?, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, ?
Garner, Onana, Iwobi
?, DCL/?, McNeil

Looking at the relegated clubs there is always a few gems to be had, whether to go into the first xi or bulk out the squad. It doesn't take much to improve our team, and there are a few players I wouldn't mind us taking a look at.

Iheanacho - st
Castagne - rb
Rodrigo - st
Ward-Prowse - cm
Justin - cb (pending fitness after achillies injury)

We should not be turning our noses up at any of the above, and likely even some others too. One look at our bench yesterday is enough to make that obvious.

We won't be flush with cash and just because you take a player from a relegated club doesn't automatically make them crap, as demonstrated by Tarkowski who has been brilliant this season and imo our player of the season.
