Dont think they really want him, clearly wont be at Everton. Shame really as he started bright with Tarko but it fazed out after the world cup, him going away with that squad and not Everton to Australia might not of helped

we wont be able to afford his wages in the Championship Sue and in any event Dyche clearly doesnt rate him.

I think you may be wrong about Dyche not rating him. I do think he was dropped in poor form and Dyche stuck his mate in and then finally our best defender -- who will be off in the summer.

For me, Tarkowski, Coady, Branthwaite (and an u21 or experienced loan as backup) would be a great trio to have next season.

Branthwaite would surely learn alot playing with them and I think if we get the system right we'd look pretty solid.

Hopefully hes phoning around his mates before we play them and calling in old favours.

Passed the ball well too. If Tarks is injured we need someone like Coady to come in else we're left with Holgate and Godfrey (shudders).

That's if we have the budget to buy him and the striker/winger we need AND he wants to stay which at the moment may not be the case.

He's a better defender than our other back up defenders. With Mina going I think it's an opportunity to retain some experience in the back line. I'd still try and give Branthwaite a proper shot but we could do worse than have Coady as a squad cover. I'd show Holgate, Keane and Godfrey the door before him anyhow.

Don't think he's Dyche type of defender so he'll be gone.

Think Wolves would be daft not to bring him back in. Was probably one of the biggest mistakes their old boss made

Only if 3-5-2 is a regular thing next season. Just giving a guy who's 30 a 4 year deal to be a backup is part of the reason club is in such a mess and kneejerk reactions aren't going to massively improve the situation going forward.

He did a job today nicely and have to question why Dyche was so quick to ditch him in favour of Keane for two months.
