I was worried for Patterson during the first 20 as Mitoma had his number. He certainly grew into the game and was fantastic.

Not played much and up against one of the in form tricky wingers. Just getting his bearing and then controlled him all game. They shifted all the play to the other side because of it.

Pickford doesn't make those saves McNeill does not score those goals. Pickford was magnificent in keeping our lead intact.

Pickford was unreal today, but it’s hard to see past McNeill for motm.
Iwobe, Mina and Doucs were potential motm performer too. Dcl was pivotal in the first half for hold up play.

MOTM could easily be Pickford, Patterson, Mina or Doucoure but for his 3 goals and superb defensive 2nd half graft, Mcneil wins it.

That's as good as Everton performance as I've seen in years. Brutal in the counter but showing bottle when it mattered most and EVERY SINGLE PLAYER doing their job. I can't remember the past time I've said that.
