2022/23 Alex Iwobi

It is a matter of bottle (or lack of it) with Iwobi. The amount of times he breaks with the ball and then slows down. If he just had the spuds to keep going and have a shot he would probaly get a good few goals. But he doesn't, he slows down desperately looking for someone to take the ball from him. Why the hell Dyche took Gana Gueye off and left that melt on is beyond me.

I mentioned it before but he has to try not to telegraph his passes when he makes them. Instead of threatening to shoot and taking it down the middle he dribbles straight towards his own player and makes it easy for their player to spot the decision he is trying to make. This doesn’t just go for Iwobi this goes for everyone in the squad. We do it too often.

He had a nice goal saving tackle early on but he has to add more if he wants to play in this midfield 3.

For most teams a midfielder trying to pass the ball to attackers is a fine enough thing to do

But he rarely reaches them mate, his record for giving the ball away this season is shocking
It's actually not. His giveaways look really dumb so people remember them, but it's not nearly as egregious as people make out and even less so when you consider the types of passes he does complete.

Don't quote me on it, but I'm sure I saw something recently saying something like 95% of the money we bring in to club/Turnover is spent on wages.

This man just sums that up, and were talking to him over a new contract which will likely be around the £100.000 mark.

Total Lunacy !!!

( He wouldn't get half that at any other club )

Mina is more of a wage thief then Alex will ever be

Great when he's the Dennis Bergkamp of a club, sadly not anywhere near such levels of skill. A watered down Steven Pienaar. How, just how.
