If Palace try and get too fancy and pick a manager like Nathan Jones it could get interesting. They've picked a 007 manager before...
The thing about Palace is that they've got a lot of teams in the relegation fight to play, us included
If they get a new manager in and smash all of those teams then it'll do us a massive favour (provided we're not one of the teams they smash)
So though it's a bit of an issue in the short term, it could be a good thing in the bigger picture provided that we can get results ourselves

Palace decided they wanted to go a completely different way from the likes of Hodgson playing safety first football and get a young manager and recruit young players. He had been doing a good job until the World Cup. I'd be interested to know the views of @Alan Whittle .
BTW what young players did Lampard play and in what way was he trying change style.

If Leicester do sack Rodgers one of the other relegation threatened teams could do a lot worse than installing him as their own manager. I still think he's one of the best impact managers on the go. He can't build anything for the long term to save himself but he usually gets a tune out of a team as soon as he sets foot in the door.

Patterson, Onana, Garner, McNeil, Gordon all signed or given major minutes under Lampard and he was clearly trying to play a possesion based 433 he just wasn't very good at it. Palace mightve wanted to change the way they play and all that but the facts are the facts and they've won one game since November. Would you have Vieira here?
