Tough the next 3 but would be really hapoy with 4/5Not sure again why there is no chance that 35/36 points will be the mark.
We get to 37 points, I think we are safe.
4 points min in the next 3 games and then a win against Fulham. We only need then 5 more points from our remaining 7 games.....
West Ham apart, we were shipping goals for fun at the start of the season but have really tightened up especially at home so those numbers are a bit deceiving, we got a horrendous GD early on which hasn't got much worse since Jan, not many teams score against us at the City Ground in particular so I thought you did well to get 2,I look at their numbers and I wonder how they're 1 point above us and 14th in the table: scored 1 more than us (21) but conceded 47 to our 38.
Incredible.
They cant get away with those numbers much longer. As I said, if they fail to beat Newcastle I'd consider them hot favourites to be relegated given their fixtures.
When is Dominic Calvert-Lewin back for you guys?
Definitely. This is no comparison with being in the bottom three with 5 to go.Think that was immediately after the last gasp win v Newcastle (on the back of four losses in a row). We then lost the next two games, one of them against our direct relegation rival and were facing up to United Chelsea Liverpool Leicester etc. as the next fixtures on the back of 3 slightly fortuitous points in 7 games. There was only 4 teams in the battle for that last place last season also by this point.
I’d take where we are this season over where we were then every single time.
I said earlier that if Forest get a win tomorrow they'll see the finishing line in the mid-distance and it'll give you lot a hell of a boost. However, if you start losing that home form then you're in big trouble. Same with us, I suppose.West Ham apart, we were shipping goals for fun at the start of the season but have really tightened up especially at home so those numbers are a bit deceiving, we got a horrendous GD early on which hasn't got much worse since Jan, not many teams score against us at the City Ground in particular so I thought you did well to get 2,
I think Johnson has every chance of playing Friday but I think we'd take a point tbh tomorrow, Newcastle are a good side,
When is Dominic Calvert-Lewin back for you guys? Seems like you're doing ok without him anyway
I agree mate you're right, we are very nervous,I said earlier that if Forest get a win tomorrow they'll see the finishing line in the mid-distance and it'll give you lot a hell of a boost. However, if you start losing that home form then you're in big trouble. Same with us, I suppose.
With all Forest's injuries I'd fear for your chances if Newcastle beat you tomorrow.
I agree mate you're right, we are very nervous,
End of the day we were bottom of Champ last season so i'm just seeing it as a massive bonus to be in with a shout of staying up, we're all behind the manager and team so hopefully that means something, something like what you guys did to get your boys across the line last season would be amazing
We were almighty lucky last season to stay up weren't we.
No other team imho is beating Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle in the manner we did. Lucky goals or last minute of 11.
Myko scoring a world class volley.
Beating Palace after being two down at half time.
Cornet missing penalty at West Ham for Burnley.
So many things went our way.
Nobody is expecting it we just hope the team can do itThose expecting 4/5/6 points from the next 3 games need to give their head a wobble, 2 or 3 would be good and 4 would be amazing but I don`t think we are getting more than 2 or 3.....
You’ve conceded 9 in the last 3 though haven’t you? So seems like the defensive issues may have crept back in? I’ve only seen the game against us so maybe that you’ve just been unlucky but from the outside I would say the perception is that you’re still a bit shaky defensively.West Ham apart, we were shipping goals for fun at the start of the season but have really tightened up especially at home so those numbers are a bit deceiving, we got a horrendous GD early on which hasn't got much worse since Jan, not many teams score against us at the City Ground in particular so I thought you did well to get 2,
