It's a good thing we did.Gained 3 points on Palace, Wolves, forest and Leicester.
2 points on Leeds, West Ham and Southampton.
Yet certain people here are saying it wasn't a good weekend.!!
And that it's too little too late .
According to some, Dyche is on course to have us lift the title, win Eurovision and sneak a semi final of Wimbledon! Amazing times!
Yeah. But only one of them is correct. Both are in common usage.

But we aren'tIt's a good thing we did.
Remember they all have a game in hand on us.
On evening things up we could well be in 19th place.
To summarise, @Drico is saying it was a rather peng set of results for us this weekend. That's a positive weekend for us. If we can have a few more of those, we'll be ok. We got our three points - that was the only requirement this weekend. Everything else is punditry.
But, we all like a bit of punditry, so here goes...
No gain or loss on Bournemouth - but that's a better outcome for them than us. Beating Liverpool is a huge bonus for them, while our win over Brentford would have been considered a possibility by their fans prior to yesterday. In other words, they might have expected to lose ground on us - but they didn't.
We gained two points on Southampton - but, again, they mitigated that loss with an unexpected point. However, given the way their game went, it's possible to see this as a missed opportunity for Southampton to really have put the cat amongst our pigeons.
We gained two points on Leeds - given both they and us were at home against similarly difficult opponents, I think we've got the right to claim the advantage this weekend.
We gained two points on West Ham - and, on the face of it, we can claim the edge here too given that they, like us, were at home - and they were playing a slightly weaker opponent than we were. But, they might argue they took a point from a home game against a side we lost to at home a fortnight ago, so there is that.
We gained three points on Leicester - Chelsea was never going to be easy, but Leicester, like us, were at home and would surely have hoped to mitigate any gain we might make on them by getting a point - or seeing Brentford taking something from Goodison.
We gained three points on Forest - advantage us. They might have been expected to lose at Spurs, but we would not have been shoe-ins to win, so a clear gain for us this week.
We gained three points on Wolves - a definite and unequivocal win for us here.
We gained three points on Palace - a good outcome for us. While Palace would have expected nothing against City, we were not guaranteed to win, so advantage Everton.
So, undoubtedly a positive weekend. We'll need it, obviously, because the next game is a tough one. A point there would be a significant coup, and even if we lose some ground on others, it would mitigate the damage.
”If” we make it through and achieve survival this season, the summer(and I know we said it after last season too)requires a total root/branch clear out from top to bottom, whether Moshiri is still at the wheel or not,I like the rest of you on here and Evertonians everywhere are sick of the total dismantling/immobilisation/watering down of a proud, historic footballing institution to where we stand nowadays,a laughing stock that the assorted media take pleasure in belittling, enough has to be enough,I thought we had reached a watershed finally after Palace last season, obviously not, let’s start the first steps in bringing NSNO back to our beloved club.
Agreed, last season we were the team with games in hand and it didn't really feel like a massive advantage, just added to the uncertainty. Arguably better to have games ticked off and know where you are. When all the teams around you have won between 5-7 games out of 26, it’s much better to have points on the board rather than games in hand.
Very high chance of doing so and probably wishing they had gone for Dyche themselves.Question: if you support one of the other 8 clubs in this dog fight how would you appraise Everton's chances of staying up?

Rather have points on the board, no guarantee they take advantage some people seem to think the other teams around us are miles better than us and the truth is they aren't they are around d us for a reason. It's a good thing we did.
