Honestly he reminded me of Sturidge for the other shower niggle doesn't want to play ffs.my option is say take some pain killers and crack on . Stuart Pearce said something on talksport that some players are comfortable being injured starting to think he's one of them
The issue is that I don’t think it’s as simple as playing through niggles because he’s suffered a number of relatively serious injuries in different muscles.

Playing ‘with a niggle’ may indicate that these injuries haven’t truly healed, and by playing too soon it may lead to the a long-term injury reoccurring.

We need him back, but we need him back long-term rather than a game or two, where he’s not at full fitness, before breaking down once again.

If that means we have to show some patience, well, we need to grin and bear it rather piling more pressure on his shoulders and whatnot.

As @ToffeeTim said, we’re in a position where we’re relying on his return, so we need to make sure that he comes back to stay in the team.

Short-term pain, long-term gain and all that jazz…

I think he'd get snapped up by another club. Good strikers are hard to find. If he could pass a medical someone would take a punt.
How good is he though, even in his best season under Carlo he only hit 16 in the league and was out scored by Bamford who is a league 1 level striker. He seems a nice bloke and I don't like some of the stick he takes over the clothes stuff but he is massively overrated by some of our fans imo.

I agree it's hard to judge his true level given his injury record. I think given his potential upside a club would give him a go. I'm sure Forest would chuck a bid in for example.

Really disappointing, we really need him, now looks out of Arsenal to, we're not getting the full story here.

Lunacy our strategy seems to be we have Dom - sure we're grand. Stupid selling Gordon as well, somehow we managed to enter the January window desperate for attacking option and made ourselves weaker.

Erm well Lukaku got more than 15 in the league twice, and the only other player to do that for us was Kanchelskis in 95-96...

Got nothing to do with his injury record mate, I just don't think he is that good tbh. To me he is just a standard level PL striker, not rubbish but not amazing either, just in the middle. I do hope for his own sake his injuries sort out, I work as a physiologist and over the last 1 1/2 years I have seen too many promising sports persons have to knock their chosen sport on the head because of prolonged injury issues. I only wish him well on that front.

I am sticking to the Brentford game i predicted last Tuesday at best that he will be back for, that was based on rumors he was out for around a month
