If we'd have spent £20m on that big Coventry striker we'd have stayed up
But we didn't so we won't
Southampton have just gone and beat Chelsea away?TBF, that's exactly the situation for every club from Southampton up to Leicester.
We are not alone in walking a tightrope for the next 14 games.
Was it real money or monopoly Money lolHey we bid £35m for Ismailia Sarr at 10:30pm on deadline day though.

Yep, we have heard Dyche saying they need to be there to shoot even if they miss, as then at least they are shooting. but how to you make players that are scared to do anything suddenly start doing it, it feels to me that a lot of the time when we make it to the area, that we try and overplay it instead of just taking a shotApart from a lack of quality (which is obvious), I feel there's a distinct lack of personality in this team, particularly at the top end of the pitch.
Nobody wants to score. Nobody wants to be the centre of attention. Nobody wants to shoulder the responsibility of getting us out of this mess.
We've had players in recent seasons (Richarlison, Lukaku) who, deep down, would be gutted if they didn't score, regardless of the result. We obviously can't attract that quality at this stage, but we really need some of that mindset. Maupay, McNeil, Iwobi are all so timid.
That's who I wanted us to sign, I have been calling for him for a while he is a class act. Issue was that Coventry were in the middle of being taken over and couldn't really bring a replacement in if they sold and they are pushing for the playoffs so they wanted a decent fee. Now it looks like Leeds are after him sadly. We have missed the boat here massively imo.If we'd have spent £20m on that big Coventry striker we'd have stayed up

Agreed, we didn’t but we will get a break on and then, unfortunately not enough to get to 36 points. I also agree with you that failing the return of DCL we have to go with Simms. He appears to be the only forward we have that matches Dyche’s style of play. As for Maupay, I think we just have to write him off as another aberration. We never had one against Leeds.
I said when that window shut we either adapt or perish. That's still the case.
That said we need to just hand Simms a run in the team now and get someone close to him to lend a hand.
They haven't got the confidence to score one on ones either, it's been the same all seasonYep, we have heard Dyche saying they need to be there to shoot even if they miss, as then at least they are shooting. but how to you make players that are scared to do anything suddenly start doing it, it feels to me that a lot of the time when we make it to the area, that we try and overplay it instead of just taking a shot
